Always an Outstanding Stay
This is our third stay at this property in the past four years. We have stayed in a Beach Suite, a Swim-Up Suite, and in a Lagoon Suite and each of these has benefits (though the Lagoon Suite has the best size. Everything about this hotel is outstanding. The rooms are great, the beach and the pool areas are great, and the location on Playa La Ropa is perfect (easy access to town, local restaurants, sunsets). But what really makes this a wonderful stay is the service provided by all of the staff. They do everything right to make your stay perfect. Front Desk and Housekeeping are responsive. But most of all, the staff at Hao are all welcoming, attentive, and make the guests feel at home. In particular, Ellie at the restaurant and Juan on the beach are two reasons we will be back - outstanding and warm service always. Gracias a todos!

My Happy Place!
My happy place is the Thompson on La Ropa Beach. It has the best staff of any hotel we have ever stayed in. The food was terrific, and the beach and pool were blissful. Marcos's cocktails were simply delicious!! The view from the two-bedroom beach suite was amazing. This hotel and the staff and facilities created a perfect vacation. Love, Love, Love!

Enjoyable stay once again.
This is my 8th time at the resort - some changes they need to make would be to let the guests know the special theme nights, at each restaurant they do a taco night, seafood night and Mexican fiesta but you have no idea when they are. A note under the door the night before alerting the guests of next days events would be great. We love The Beach Boys Francisco, Ediberto, Juan and Guapo all great guys and they really love their jobs. Resort was full but didn’t feel that way but unfortunately you need to play the towel game - get up early and have them set you up. Didn’t see any GM or manager during our stay, usually in the past he would walk around and chat with guests but this trip no sightings. It’s always a pleasure to see the best and happiest Bartender on playa de ropa Marco he is loved by all! They really shouldn’t do day passes when hotel is at full occupancy not fair to the paying guests. That’s a wrap on another great stay in Zihua.

A hidden gem
Great place to stay with great service. The staff tries to anticipate your needs and go out of their way to make sure you are looked after. Food offered could be a little bit more adventurous and focused on local cuisine. No complaints and fantastic stay.

Beautiful beachside property
We had a fantastic time. Wonderful location on the beach and lovely rooms. All the staff are friendly and really go the extra mile to make sure you’re having a great time. Only caveat is that a lot of the hotel is open air so if it’s hot and humid out you need to either escape to a pool, the ocean or your room. I guess there’s worse things!
