Thompson Zihuatanejo

My husband and I stayed at the Thompson Zihuatanejo for an anniversary trip. From the moment we walked in we were in awe with how beautiful the resort was. Everything about this resort was top notch - from the rooms, to the grounds, to the food and the beautiful beach. But what made this stay even better was the staff. The front desk staff (Nadia, Bruno, Melisa and Mali) were so helpful and accommodating. We spent the majority of our time at the beach and were attended by very friendly staff - Moises, Rony, Franco, and Alejandro were always helping us out with anything that we needed and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. While at the beach we had friendly servers Francisco and Heriberto as our servers and they made sure to always be attentive. For breakfast we had Alejandro and Felipe as our servers and they were also wonderful. Everyone at the resort was great, friendly, helpful and nice - the best staff. 10/10 would recommend and we plan on coming back ASAP.

This hotel is one of the best kept secrets - the ocean water is warm, the staff is super nice and the rooms are impeccable. If you visit the property, be sure to visit the Spa and ask for Rosy. She is the best. We enjoyed waking up every morning and taking a nice stroll on the beach. The warm water covering our ankles was a great way to start each day. I miss it already.

We spent the second half of our vacation at the Thompson and I'm so glad! We started at the Hilton, which is very nice, but the Thompson is next level. It is just a stunning property, the beach is PERFECT, the vibe is super chill, and the people/service are truly the best. Huge shoutout to Bruno, Manuel, Juan, Annel and Saul. They made our stay perfect, and we truly cannot wait to return. Thank you Thompson Zihua!!!

We went to the Thompson Zihuatanejo for an early Christmas celebration with family and friends and had a wonderful time. The grounds were beautiful and intimate, the beach and water were smooth and tranquil-perfect for swimming for those who prefer an ocean. The pool was also nice with direct access and view of the beach/water. There are also tennis courts on site which we used for pickleball every day. While we did venture into town for a couple of meals, we could have easily stayed with the restaurants on site and particularly loved the expansive breakfast menu. Above all was the friendly and welcoming staff; most specifically: Bruno Francisco Gabrielle Eriberto Sarah Stephanie Manuel Franco It was a lovely, easy and relaxing vacation; I can't wait to return!

This is my second time at this property and it is a total gem. Came last year with my partner and returned this year with a big group of both family and friends. Everything is top notch but nicely understated. We typically like to eat out and try different restaurants but the food here is the best in the area, so we stayed on property most of the time. Best beach with warm, swimmable water. Loved the complimentary paddle boards (thanks Franco!) and the pickleball nets. We had a blast doing both and Bruno helped us set up an afternoon/sunset boat ride where we saw whales, dolphins, and got to fish, swim and snorkel. From top to bottom, the staff is exceptional. Everyone is so kind, attentive, and accommodating. Must mention the following: Bruno and Manuel at the front desk. Francisco and Domingo at the beach. Eriberto, Stephanie and Sarah at the restaurant. We got to know these people by name, but truly everyone is exceptional there.
