Reviews for Hotel Des Indes

The staff and accommodations are outstanding

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

In my all my travels, the Hotel Des Indes truly stands out as outstanding place to stay. The accommodations are wonderful but the staff are uniformly exceptional. From the moment I arrived and was warmly greeted by Kennedy, I knew my trip was off to an excellent start. Tess always started my day on a high note with her gracious and kind assistance during the breakfast service. She is a true asset to the hotel as she is professionally attentive and knows how to make every interaction a pleasure. Finally, thanks to Yvonne and the front desk staff for their helpfulness in making sure that all aspects of our visit and travel within the city went smoothly. I highly recommend staying at the Hotel Des Indes.

Hotel Des Indes = Perfection

There are very few hotels in the world that can compare to Hotel Des Indes. We have had the opportunity to stay at many beautiful hotels around the world and always count Hotel Des Indes in our top three favorite places. The hotel itself is stunning. The staff is magnificent and the service is beyond compare. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful old grande damne

Terrific part of Den Haags.history. Lovely room, public areas were gorgeous and steeped in history. Bitterbsllen which I love was the best I've tasted in the Netherlands with a bit of seasoning.. 4 course set menu seemed a bit experimental and not really my cup of tea. Staff were generally lovely especially the concierge who was so friendly and showed me photos of how the hotel used to be which was fascinating. As a Brit loved the bar staffs sarcasm over my nightcap. Great to have staff with an informal sense of humour.. Slight whinge over the main door being locked at night as a night owl and smoker. Should be key card entry like most places in London these days. Night guy was lovely but I hated disturbing him. Loved Den Haag and a truly underrated historical city when everyone seems to flock to Amsterdam. Great city but far too many tourists. Happy to return. Oh and housekeeping were terrific.

Beautiful hotel, impessive lounge

A beautiful hotel with an impressive lounge that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. In some places you can tell the hotel is getting on in years, but it is being worked on. The staff are very courteous and attend to guests' wishes immediately. We always felt very comfortable.

Almost perfect

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The public areas are beautiful and my room on the landing was luxurious and quiet. All staff without exception were warm, welcoming and helpful and the location is absolutely perfect for everything you would want to do in the city. I really loved my stay here which included breakfast in the rate - I wouldn’t pay the extra €35 if not as it wasn’t that special. Also, a bottle of still water for my room was complementary one evening but the next when I asked for sparkling it was €9 - go figure! These are minor issues compared to my overall experience which was positive and enjoyable.
