My wife and I had a very relaxing time at the Rhett house. Nice and friendly staff. Commendations of a full southern breakfast, in the evening a nice cheese and crackers plate to choose from. Then delicious deserts. The Rhett house is located within walking distance to many sites. The most that I will miss from our visit is Beverly's blue berry pancakes. The best I have ever had. Will make plans in the future to visit again.

This is a picture of our great breakfast included with the room. I also wanted to give a loud shout out to Jane, who is the head housekeeper here, for her excellent care and kindness to our dogs. We found Beaufort last year when Savannah had gotten too busy and expensive. Just an hour or so away it has it all. Very relaxing and peaceful. Our place to stay is The Rhett House Inn. It has all the charm we were looking for but what sets it apart from others is the food. Fresh cookies in the afternoon, cheese and crackers in the evening and a dessert at night. My favorite though is the breakfast especially the French toast. Well done Deborah! I apologize if I didn’t get her name right. We will return next year!

The Inn itself is a grand old mansion with a beautiful sweeping front terrace... with no real views. The interior common rooms are lovely -- pay attention to the details in the woodwork - stunning. The bedding in the guest rooms is plush and oh-so-comfy! Bath robes are an appreciated plus. Breakfast is basic, albeit delicious, filling and well prepared. The staff is fabulous! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We managed to leave prescription medications behind and didn't realize it until we arrived home that evening. We called them immediately and they went out of their way to locate them and overnight them to us. SO very much appreciated. And for this reason alone we would return. Disliked · Cleanliness in our room left something to be desired. There was a layer of dust at the bottom of the vanity and on all the baseboards. The tv remote slid between the mattress and the headboard, so we had to reach under the bed to fish it out -- nasty... there was a half consumed water bottle under there and a lot of dust - yuck! Downstairs rooms are basically in the basement. Stairs are steep. Although there are windows, there are no views -- ours was of the AC unit. Overall, we would stay here again for the location, the fabulous staff, the filling breakfast and the overall atmosphere of the place. But we would choose a room on one up the upper floors or one of the cottages... and cross our fingers that housekeeping does a better job in those than in the rooms in the basement.

Book direct with the Inn!!! I learned the hard way. Don't use reservations.com! Add on fees in excess of $100! Nice historic Inn. This was our 2nd time staying here. Walk to waterfront and downtown restaurants only a few blocks. Early evening cheese & crackers and later desserts are provided.

The Rhett House Inn was fabulous! The staff was very friendly and really made us feel at home. You can easily walk to restaurants and to the waterfront; the beach, Paris Island and Savannah are within easy driving distance.
