We had an absolutely terrible experience at this hotel. We came to attend a Holiday party nearby. When we arrived, two valet attendants in front of the hotel told us we couldn’t park there if we were staying for the night but we had to self-park. They didn’t offer to park our car or offer to let us unload our bags, just directed us to park behind and across street from hotel. On checking in we found there was no elevator and we were in a room on the third floor (we are both in our 70’s) in the back of the hotel. There was barely enough room to get dressed in for our party, no mirror, no closet (only armoire with no room for dresses or pants). To top it all off, the room was at 62 degrees (30 outside) when we returned for the evening. We asked front desk to turn up. By morning it was 60 degrees and freezing. When we called again, the gentleman at the front desk apologized and said they had been fighting with the heat all night! I asked whether it was an issue in the whole hotel. He said only our room and one other a few doors down. He offered to bring up a portable room heater. After he did as I was struggling to find a place to plug it in, I noticed that there was already a space heater in the room. So, I can only assume that heating has previously been a problem. Finally, there is a fire station nearby and the alarms went off at 7am.

I once loved this place. Now it is an eyesore. The foyer now has a large dining table jammed into it in an obvious push to put an additional profit over customer experience. The bar, once warm, cozy, and classy is gone. No more dancing to piano music and the visual cacophony of a multi-colored, collection of phallic symbols produce an assault on the senses preventing any possibility of relaxation in luxury which it has had before. The vintage, hand hewn mahogany has been replaced with decor better suited to a diner. What a loss for the community.

My wife and I stayed overnight and dined at the restaurant. The hotel staff was awesome. The room was clean and glowing. We are foodies and the restaurant was excellent. Chef came out to say hello and recommend apps/entrees. We ate at the bar and the staff was very friendly. I will be back and highly recommend.

This once stately superb neighborhood gem is sadly ……over. The bar area has terrible atmosphere, horrid decor, and is too loud to have a conversation. The beautiful wooden bar is gone - replaces with a cheap artificial marble and some black metal shelving that belongs on a garage. The food is mediocre across the menu, just a k, nothing more - edible but not special. I will say the service was attentive and charming st the bar and the drinks were good.

We loved this Inn! Well appointed rooms, very clean - all details thought through. Great staff/ service, too. The Inn itself is beautiful and well maintained. While we didn't eat at the restaurant, it was nice to have this an option. A great experience all around.

We spent two lovely evenings in Bernardsville at The Bernards Inn in the central Jersey mountain country. The inn's accommodations and features are top-class. All was great!

We experienced The Bernards Inn in Bernardsville, New Jersey, in October. We arrived to find a beautiful two-room suite, a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us - a delicious start to a wonderful weekend! The wine-tasting dinner was wonderful. And the romantic atmosphere made the whole experience extra special. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful inn tucked into a quaint community.

I used Luxury Link to purchase a room and dinner package at the Bernards Inn in Bernardsville, New Jersey. It was a great value! And when they learned we purchased the package on LL they treated us like royalty.
