Christmas at the Adair

The inn is welcoming and beautiful- our room had gorgeous views of the nearby mountains. Breakfast was great- fantastic popovers and a very good selection of entrees. The staff were very responsive and helpful. The granite room (lower level) was a great place for our family to gather and play games. We definitely recommend the Adair.

Charming inn north of the notches.

What a great place for our anniversary! The setting: a grand, century-old mansion on a hilltop with views stretching miles to the north and east (in clear weather, to Mt. Washington), accessed via a curving, tree-lined lane and hidden from the main road. Easy footpaths wind throughout the 200-acre property. Inside, cozy fireside seating, endless bookcases full of inviting, older works, and spacious guestrooms also with fireplaces, armchairs, and great views (including a rainbow!). Our dinner was superb in all respects, including the best lamb chops I've had in decades. The employees and owner couldn't have been nicer. The Adair is now high on our list of favorite New England inns.

Adair Inn is a gem!

Loved our 2-night stay at Adair Inn! Wonderful location, pretty setting, historic background, and friendly staff (Brenda, Haley). Breakfasts were absolutely delicious. We ate in their dining room one evening, a special treat. The fireplace for atmosphere, artwork on the wall from a local gallery, and beautifully prepared dishes. Adair Inn is a gem!

Great couples and friends get-away location!

Great 2-3 day get-away stay with friends! Very charming house, wonderful location/access to White Mountains, etc., beautiful property, friendly staff and owners. Bedrooms and beds were comfy and common areas were inviting. Have stayed here in both the fall and winter. Lovely both seasons!

Great overnight stay

We stayed at this beautiful location in mid-October in the Cabot room. As others have said, the grounds and building are beautiful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious with the host presenting 3-4 options with a consistent set of sides. The inn was not too far from the western edge of the Kancamagus Highway and just a short drive from the mountains and Vermont border. There is a small town nearby with food options, ice cream, and a convenience store.
