Bernardus Lodge and Spa

This was our fourth stay at the Lodge & Spa, and Bernardus remains a premier destination for R&R and fine food & wine. The rooms are very comfortable, and Lucia is an outstanding restaurant. The customer service orientation permeates the entire property, and it is the best we've ever encountered. As usual, we enjoyed our stay tremendously and continue to recommend this resort wholeheartedly.

Room 69 is just amazing. The decor and design is perfect. The breathtaking surroundings, the pool, spa and dining areas are perfect. From the moment you arrive you feel like you are entering an oasis of calm and peace. The staff is so accommodating and caring.

This was our second stay at Bernardus Lodge. The grounds are impeccable with ample places to relax outside or inside. We especially enjoyed the gas fireplace and comfortable seating area in our room along with the nice assortment of treats and drinks. With many of California’s most iconic golf, hiking, and dining establishments nearby, the location is perfect. Looking forward to our next visit.

This place is a slice of heaven just 10 miles from Carmel by the Sea. It feels like an Oasis put in the most beautiful spot right in Carmel Valley. Amongst wineries and the yummiest little food spots, this place is one we hope to continue coming back to for years to come. The adults only jacuzzi and Spa are paradise alone, but then you go to your heated bathroom floor, private jacuzzi and personal balcony and you realize everything at Bernardus Lodge & Spa just makes sense and feels so good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We stayed two nights for our anniversary and loved every relaxing minute of it. We ate both nights in the restaurant as well as breakfast both mornings and the food was excellent. Loved the amenities in the room: filtered water, chocolate, cheese & crackers, robes & slippers. We enjoyed the adults only hot tub in the morning. Great way to start the day. Our massages at the Spa were excellent (highly recommend Susie). The beds were so comfortable and the blackout curtains so effective that we slept in both mornings! Also we enjoy the Bernardus Marinus wine so we went to the wine tasting room in Carmel Valley Village to pick up a few bottles. We will be back again!
