French Quarter Inn

We stayed here to check out the College of Charleston, and WOW! From the moment we parked our car with the valet, it was non-stop 1st class service. The level of service we received here is comparable to the 5-diamond style properties worldwide, making us feel truly valued and important. I called ahead and asked if I could send a sweatshirt (COC) and have it waiting in our room to surprise my daughter. Not only did they put the sweatshirt in the room, but it was gift-wrapped and a beautiful card. The room was spacious and quiet and came with pillow options. The food was fantastic- from breakfast to the evening wine and cheese to the before-bed milk and cookies. We were stuffed. We never had to take our car as the location was walkable for all our adventures. If my daughter chooses the College of Charleston, this will be the ONLY place my husband and I will stay.

This is a great hotel. The location is awesome and the staff is very friendly. You get a lot of value for the money. The complimentary breakfast, happy hour and warm cookies and milk made the hotel even better. The booking and reservation system was easy to work with.

At many levels the French Quarter Inn is delightful. The location in the French Quarter is perfect, close to the best sights and restaurants in Charleston. The staff are uniformly friendly and helpful. The boutique feel of the place makes for an intimate experience. We ran into a couple of issues whilst there - they forgot to collect us at the airport, no hot water one day, problems with a room another day - but they were very responsive, and apologetic. The pluses made up for these issues - the rooms are nicely decorated, breakfast is plentiful, afternoon wine and charcuterie is well provisioned and generous, and the freshly baked cookies at night, delicious. All in all highly recommended.

The hotel was kept clean and spotless. Service was best in class. I felt like I was being treated as their favorite guest. On my arrival, the GM went out of his way to take my luggage to my room. Gestures like that are what set the hotel apart from the rest.

This hotel exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and truly top-notch. The rooms were fantastic—spacious, beautiful, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, from the variety of pillow options and plush bed to the spotless bathroom, cozy patio, and well-appointed room. The little touches made our stay even more special—the evening port and cookies were a nice treat. And the location? Perfect! It’s ideal for walking around town and exploring with ease. I highly recommend this hotel—it’s a wonderful place to stay, and we can’t wait to return!
