Reviews for French Quarter Inn

Another Great Visit!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We had another fantastic stay at the French Quarter Inn. Our family of four stayed in the spacious Premium Market Suite, which was perfect for us, especially with the large balcony that's ideal for enjoying nice weather. We really appreciated the thoughtful details like cookies and milk before bed, tasty snacks during happy hour, and little candies scattered around the hotel. The location is perfect for families, with the area being very walkable, or you can hop on the hotel bikes to explore further. We stayed busy with our 13-year-old and 3-year-old, keeping everyone entertained. The staff was always accommodating, offering to store our bike with the toddler bike seat, which we really appreciated. A tip: ordering breakfast to your room gives you access to a wider variety of options. As always, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be returning!

Excels in every way imaginable. Personal service, complimentary snacks, beverages, breakfast and even turn-down bedtime service and a Pillow Concierge! Thanks to them I now know how comfortable a cooling gel pillow is! Not to mention warm cookies and milk at 8:30. I can't wait to go back. My husband agrees! Janice

This is a first class Boutique hotel. We loved it!

I sell trips to Europe for a living. As a result, I spend a lot of time evaluating and critiquing hotels to make sure that they are not just suitable but exceptional options for our clients. I stayed at the French Quarter Inn with my wife recently while on a genuine vacation. My wife made it very clear that I wasn't working. I couldn't help myself and had to write a review. Upon arrival we pulled into the small driveway at the entrance. Somebody appeared immediately to help get our bags out of the car and into the hotel. The people at the front desk were very welcoming and handled every question that we had. That afternoon they had a reception with beer, wine and snacks. The next morning they offered a buffet breakfast. The staff could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. The room was spotless. The location exceptional. The French Quarter Inn was one of the very best travel experiences that we had ever experienced. If you are visiting Charleston (which you should), stay at the French Quarter Inn. It really is an exceptional experience.

Truly Excellent Experience

We were absolutely thrilled with our experience at the French Quarter Inn, and would plan a return trip to Charleston just for the pleasure of staying here again. The staff is so attentive and professional. The rooms are gorgeous and immaculately clean. There are so many luxurious amenities: warm cookies served each evening, warm and cold beverage service 24/7 in the lobby, nightly turn down service complete with chocolates and a weather report for the next day. The complimentary breakfast was phenomenal. The location cannot be beat! A short walk to shopping, dining, the waterfront and Rainbow Row. It was truly a wonderful experience and we hope to return soon.

Great charm, wonderful staff, awesome location

There are many great things about the French Quarter Inn (FQI). My wife and I enjoyed a three night stay as we explored Charleston (3/18-3/21). The charm starts in the lobby and carries into the rooms. All of the staff were friendly, polite, and professional, and offed excellent advice for food and fun. The complimentary breakfast delivered to our room each morning was delicious. We enjoyed their complimentary wine and cheese in the evening, and the cold milk and cookies before calling it a night. The candies, and beverages, available 24/7 in the lobby were also a welcomed treat. The bed, and several pillow choices combined with the quiet surroundings, provided some restful sleep each night. The FQI’s location is awesome as it is a block from the market, a couple of blocks to the must ride carriages, and there are tons of restaurants and shops all within walking distance. The French Quarter Inn is a fabulous hotel that contributed to our wonderful visit to Charleston!

I am a former chef and am now a catering director at a private country club. Being extremely picky and wanting the best possible accommodations and food - we were nothing but happy with French Quarter Inn!

My wife and I stayed at the French Quarter Inn on a Monday and Tuesday evening. As our second visit to Charleston, we wanted to enjoy the Battery area history and restaurants for a couple days. French Quarter Inn was fantastic! The staff really set the stage for a memorable and rejuvenating visit. Charleston really is a unique and wonderful city, and I highly recommend the French Quarter Inn for helping us take a little of Charleston with us.
