I don’t even know where to start in listing all the wonderful things about this hotel! My mom and I stayed at the French Quarter Inn for 4 nights in mid-November. From the moment we walked in, we felt taken care of and spoiled! Seryna made our trip outstanding from the beginning (and end… I’ll get to that). We came from a red-eye flight and a 12 hour travel journey. Because it was early, our room was not ready yet so we freshened up in their beautiful bathroom, which had everting we needed to get ready for the day. There was mouth wash, make up remover wipes, etc, etc. Seryna checked us in and gave us great recommendations for places to eat and check out, along with a free appetizer card for one place. Kimberly also was very helpful. We also received an incredible upgrade to the market view suite!! It was such a wonderful surprise and made our trip! It had a fireplace, large sitting area, large bathroom, bedroom, and lovely little balcony to sit on and experience the view. The room (and all of the hotel) was so clean and tidy! The bathroom was so spacious and had the most plush towels! The hotel clearly has a value of cleanliness and health… hand sanitizer sprays (nice ones) are located throughout, there is a UV sanitizing station in each room, etc. I so appreciated this! You don’t want to get sick when you are on a vacation, if you can help it! They also are mindful of your sleep when you are away from home - they have a pillow menu (that I didn’t even need to use because the default pillows were great), sleep spray, sleep chocolates, etc. And their beds - wow!! Just so comfortable!! The hallways are bright, wide, and clean, with tasteful decorations. The location is wonderful ~ at first I thought of staying closer to King street and a bit more north, we are so glad we chose this location! Close to King, Bay, the battery, and all areas you’d want but without all the noise. You felt like you were in the centre of all the history! There is also a sense of community at the hotel. Through eating together in the common areas, you get to know others staying there, which is lovely! The food - amazing! And such incredible value for this hotel. The breakfast - served in the lobby where you could eat or take it outside of the patio- had so many options - pastries, yogurts, fruits, granolas, nuts, meat/cheese, cereals, and rotating warm dishes. You could also order a plated breakfast to your room if you preferred. They had 5 different options for this and we opted for this twice during our stay, to be able to enjoy our patio. They also have a charcuterie hour at 5:30-6:30 which was a large assortment of crackers, nuts, meats, cheeses, jellies, fruits, etc. And lastly, they had fresh cookies (3 different kinds) and milk each evening! The food was great quality and the quantity was not in replacement of any quality! They also even had a little candy bar - which I didn’t even get a chance to partake in because of all of the other offerings! We didn’t have any issues at this hotel but you could tell, if you did, it would've been handled with genuine effort and care (which makes all the difference). Everyone from the gentlemen welcoming you into the hotel at street-level and assisting with bags (I am so sorry, their names have slipped my mind!), to those at the front desk, to the lovely ladies and gentleman (including Zina - so kind!) assisting with turn-down and house-keeping were amazing! When we left, we couldn't have been more satisfied with our stay… little did we know, Seryna would go above and beyond again! We had unfortunately forgotten a bag of souvenirs at one of the shops in the market just before leaving Charleston. We didn’t realize we had until a couple days after we left. I was able to track down the vendor who had our belongings and Seryna went over to the market, picked it up, and walked me through sending her a shipping label to ship it back home. She packaged everything with such care and intention - bagging the things that might have gotten damaged in transit and even included a personal note, sealed with wax, and beautiful card of the hotel and more linen sprays! We are recommending the FQI to everyone we know who may be planning a trip to the south! It truly felt like a once in the lifetime experience to be treated with such generosity, hospitality, and luxury! Thank you everyone at the FQI! A & BA

We just got back from our 4-night stay at the French Quarter Inn and, as usual, had the best time. We’ve stayed there many times over the years and will continue to do so. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. The rooms and public areas are always clean and well cared for. The Inn was decorated for the holidays so it made our stay even more magical. The location is perfect for exploring the historic areas of Charleston by foot. The breakfasts and evening receptions offer great options. We highly recommend this hotel if you like a smaller, more intimate place to stay.

We just had four nights (rm 222), here. It was such a lovely boutique hotel to stay at. Everything was wonderful, with all the staff so friendly & helpful & every aspect of our stay, was more than reflected in its 5 star rating. The Christmas Tree in the foyer was beautiful. Thank you.

We stayed for the first time last year. It was so perfect in every way. We tried to make reservations 4 months ago and they were booked up. Kim asked me if I wanted to be on the waitlist. I said of course we were disappointed that they were full. A week before they called and said we could have a Queen Junior suite. It is the perfect place to stay in Charleston. Charleston is such a walkable city. The breakfast was delicious and the Happy hour was wonderful. Rute was the bartender and was delightful to chat with for happy hour and later for port and cookies. We look forward to coming back next year!

I am a former chef and am now a catering director at a private country club. Being extremely picky and wanting the best possible accommodations and food - we were nothing but happy with French Quarter Inn!

My wife and I stayed at the French Quarter Inn on a Monday and Tuesday evening. As our second visit to Charleston, we wanted to enjoy the Battery area history and restaurants for a couple days. French Quarter Inn was fantastic! The staff really set the stage for a memorable and rejuvenating visit. Charleston really is a unique and wonderful city, and I highly recommend the French Quarter Inn for helping us take a little of Charleston with us.
