Excellent accommodations and service. We stayed Thursday through Sunday and had a king bed near the lobby. The staff is friendly and helpful and even texted us the first morning to ask if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. Nice touch! The breakfast is good and varied, including eggs, meat, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, pastries, bread, granola, yogurt, and more. The fruit was particularly good, and any appetite should find something to like. Croissants very very good. Coffee was strong but not too strong. The wine and cheese reception is very good. The wines are from large kegs and medium quality. The cheeses are three varieties, but pretty good (and I am from Wisconsin!). The reception is at 5:30 pm for one hour, which is just right. Milk and cookies at 8:30 pm were just okay. The cookies were three varieties and just not that good. They could improve the cookie quality. There is still and carbonated water available in room and in the lobby for free. Very handy. There are also candies to snack on: Skittles, M&Ms, and Jelly Belly varieties. Good candy! We needed a couple odd items, and staff were able to find them. We needed sun screen, a carabiner, and postage for the complimentary post cards in our room. Staff was friendly and glad to locate these items quickly, even communicating with a sister property to find them for us. I enjoyed that they have physical copies of the local paper and Wall Street Journal. This is something many hotels no longer have, so it was pleasant to see. The gym is very good. They have weight benches, a large rack, free weights up to 50 pounds, two Peloton bikes, a treadmill, and an elliptical. We used the gym to lift and do yoga and only saw a couple other guests. We used the complimentary bikes, which were well-maintained, included locks and helmets, and have baskets for storage. French Quarter Inn is a great choice and location. You will not be disappointed.

Stayed here recently and was pleasantly surprised. The photos online matched reality, which doesn’t always happen 😅 The room was cozy and the service was excellent.

What an incredible stay! From champagne on arrival to wine and cheese at 5:30 to cookies at 8:30, the service was outstanding. The staff went out of their way to offer conversation and advice. Our king room was lovely. Housekeeping included turn down and a chocolate every evening along with clean towels. Guests were mainly over 40 which was wonderful. The adage “you get what you pay for “ is very true here. It is expensive but so worth it. If you can catch a special, definitely book here. We had 15% off, free valet parking, and a $100 gift card for Hall’s restaurants which we used for the Sunday gospel brunch. The valet was great and we never waited more than 10 minutes for the car. The location is wonderful, although the street itself is not grand, and you can walk to most places. They do have a bar but we found the bar at the sister hotel The Spectator next door to be superior. Our only issue was the construction directly across the street from the main entrance and the view from our window. I requested a quiet room and had specifically asked about the construction. On the weekend it was fine, but during the week, they did start working around 8 am. It was tolerable since we were gone most of the day. However, you need to consider this if you sleep late. I would still 100% stay here again but probably only after the construction is done.

Where does one begin to describe the epitome of customer service with a side of casual elegance and classic southern charm? With the staff, of course! Bob, Kristen, Jose, Kim and Tyler, all contributed to a memorable stay. We thank all of you for making our repeat, though all to brief, stay, a wonderful experience. We love this hotel. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The tiny details, from the card that encases your room keys to the chocolates at turndown, thoughtfulness abounds. Breakfast is perfect, Tea Time is terrific and Cookies between 8-10pm is just adorable. We can’t wait to go back!!

From the moment I arrived at The French Quarter Inn I felt that this was a special hotel. Every single staff member I interacted with was amazing, they really are completely motivated to make sure your stay is incredible. Bob, Toby, and Kimberly were helpful, nice, and fun to talk to. Jose and Ben at valet were always a step ahead on service. The location is elite. Walking distance to some of the best restaurants in Charleston. Plus sites and things to do. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. Slept soundly each night. My favorite part of the stay was being in the lobby in the afternoon and evening to enjoy the wine/cheese and milk/cookies. It was very easy to chat with other guests and the staff which made the atmosphere extremely comfortable and inviting. There's no doubt we'll be back to this hotel and it's likely the meausuring stick that i'll compare future hotels to.

I am a former chef and am now a catering director at a private country club. Being extremely picky and wanting the best possible accommodations and food - we were nothing but happy with French Quarter Inn!

My wife and I stayed at the French Quarter Inn on a Monday and Tuesday evening. As our second visit to Charleston, we wanted to enjoy the Battery area history and restaurants for a couple days. French Quarter Inn was fantastic! The staff really set the stage for a memorable and rejuvenating visit. Charleston really is a unique and wonderful city, and I highly recommend the French Quarter Inn for helping us take a little of Charleston with us.
