HarbourView Inn

This was a very comfortable, clean, well appointed room with a wonderful breakfast daily delivered to your room. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. They have tea, coffee, decaf coffee available 24 hours a day. They also have a daily happy hour for guests with wine and a cheese / meat board.

We found Harbourview Inn to be the perfect place for our time in Charleston. In addition to the very nicely-appointed room, we enjoyed the close proximity to historic landmarks and great restaurants. Staff members were attentive and graciously accommodated my special needs as a non-ambulatory guest. 100% satisfied with our stay!

From the moment we were greeted by the professional staff at the HarborView Inn, our experience was nothing less than perfect. We asked for a room on the harbor side and they accommodated our request. The room was spacious and well appointed and the harbor view was perfect. The HarborView Inn is in a great location -- we felt safe at all times, centrally located to the Charleston City Market, delicious restaurants, great shopping, and a lot of historic churches and other must-sees all within walking distance. The welcome cheese/wine reception is delightful -- it is a way for guests to mingle with other guests and enjoy a delicious assorted display of meats, cheeses, crackers, nuts, fruit, etc., not to mention nice wine selections. We suggest making later dinner plans so one can enjoy the cheese/wine reception. The continental breakfast is wonderful and a great start to your day. The choices are plentiful -- assorted quiches, baked items, fruit, cereals, juices, not to mention guests are able to order and enjoy mimosas and Bloody Mary's if one desires (these are at a very reasonable fee). The HarborView Inn is the only place we stay in the beautiful city of Charleston.

Remembering our visit a year ago. Wonderful, world class hotel in a perfect location without sacrificing charm and that completely southern style! I was traveling with my “extremely” picky and critical best friend, who can be a challenge at the best of times. She was charmed from the moment your wonderfully kind and outgoing valets greeted us! (She would have adopted him in a minute) All the staff continued to be excellent, from the front desk down to the housekeeping staff. The rooms were cozy without being small, exceedingly well appointed with comfort beds and clean everything… I adored the the breakfast made to order and delivered to the room or the terrace. It was too windy for us to spend much time on the terrace, but breakfast in bed is my idea of heaven. Food quality was excellent. Happy hour was great the wine decent and the food yummy. We had music tonight during happy hour and thought that was great too. Location is everything you could hope for with the limited time we had to stay (4 days). Could walk almost anywhere; easy to find for the Uber/Lyft and the tour guides. We will definitely be back.

We had a terrific stay to celebrate twin birthdays. From arrival thru departure, the staff treated us like guests in their homes. Doug and Don helped us check in early and get settled, & then we were delighted with a bottle of birthday bubbles from Kierra(?) and front desk team. GREAT start! We’ve stayed at many of Charleston’s high-end properties & Harbourview Inn stands out for its superb location and comfort. Located steps from Waterfront Park, we enjoyed sunrises on the pier and short walks to Meeting and King streets and South of Broad. The rooftop terrace is roomy and perfect for sunsets. Complimentary breakfasts and happy hours were generous & served by friendly staff members. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. We plan to make Charleston and HarbourView Inn our birthday destination and highly recommend it to others!
