The Allison is the best!!! First class all the way!! We loved the property, the rooms, the staff, the restaurant, the bar, the couches by the fireplace, the walks around the property, the hot tub, the fire pit!!! It would have been nice if they offered yoga

Ever feel like you need a getaway weekend, but don’t want to, or can’t, travel too far from home? That’s the situation my wife and I faced when our plans to travel to some exotic country for our 50th wedding anniversary fell through and we had to stay home. Fortunately, we discovered the Allison Inn & Spa! The service at the hotel is excellent! The hotel manager arranged a very nice bottle of their own wine and some tasty snacks to welcome us when we arrived, with nice wishes for our 50th. And the wine was quite good! We really appreciated the gesture and so, thank you very much Hotel Allison! It was a rainy weekend, of course, so other than a nice drive through the surrounding wine country, we stayed indoors mostly, enjoying the Grand King Suite we booked. A lovely large room with a bed that had us both muttering the morning after our first night, “Wow, I wonder what brand of mattress this is?” It was so comfortable! I can’t remember the last time a hotel bed caught our attention like that. We had our anniversary dinner upstairs in the Jory, and the food was very good, although the menu is limited. We had steamed musseels for appetiser. Then I had the duck, which was perfect! My wife had the sturgeon, which she also enjoyed. I also tried the hotel’s Old Fashioned, which was really good! We were so busy enjoying our meal, we both forgot to take photographs. Grr! All in all, we had a memorable weekend at the Allison and want to thank all the hotel staff for their friendliness and attentiveness! If you need to get away for a weekend or for that special occasion, I can definitely recommend the Allison!

Used to be a frequent guest at the Allison. I would stay to fly helicopter at the nearby flight school. Over the years, time has taken a toll. The rooms are clean yet outdated. The service is stingy, not many towels, water bottles, etc. The food quality has gone down, while surprisingly the costs have gone up. Expect to pay $250+ a day in food. Breakfast is crazy expensive and a joke. Coffee is horrible for being in Portland. They should offer Proud Mary, but instead you get commercial crap. $80 steak tastes cheap. They should be offering Robin Island Steak at that price point. Or at least 10 oz. Desserts is assortments pudding-style for folks with no teeth. Basically, Allison is old, boring, with management and staff that don't want to put in the effort. The low morale is obvious. No wonder the hotel is empty, even when the website says it's full.

Love the rooms and decor of the Allison. Also the food at Jory is good. A great place to stay when wine tasting in the Williamette Valley. The service is generally very attentive and the spa is wonderful. The weather was damp and cold outside but the Allison is so cozy that we did not mind

The Allison Inn and Spa definitely lived up to its reputation! We started our couples weekend with a Joint & Muscle Rescue Massage at the spa. My massage with Benjamin was one of the best I have ever had. I recommend arriving early to enjoy the eucalyptus steam room and sauna. Dinner was delicious at JORY. The grounds were gorgeous. We walked the trails enjoying the art work, sculptures snd landscape. Such a wonderful escape so close to Portland.
