Quaint, easy to get to vacation spot in the Temecula wine country. 27 holes of golf, this resort is well positioned to appeal to various visitors. We stayed for two nights starting Christmas Day. The rooms are a little dated but nice. The staff was excellent working Christmas evening and through the holiday. The restaurant staff and food are good.

Excellent lunch experience at Cork Kitchen restaurant. Nice terrace overlooking golf course and water. Great food fresh and tasty with some coming from the Chef’s garden. Good and friendly service and reasonably priced for the high quality.

Rooms were clean and nice. One point to note was shower , there was a hot water in shower , which turned cold half way through turned cold. This happened on first night of stay. (ignored) , this happened again on second day, when in shower. Reported at lobby when checking out. Being one of expensive resorts in area, these items should have been checked.

The front desk tries in a friendly way to compensate for the dilapidation and dirt, but it is hopeless. I was reluctant to step into the tub on account of the stains that run the length of it. I did not use my palm on the bathroom door so that I wouldn't have to touch the uncleaned filth of months of hand prints; I used my foot or my elbow. Though I had specifically requested that the bathroom door be cleaned by housekeeping it was not, so I did it myself with a towel which came back a deep dirt brown. Housekeeping also neglected to change out the used coffee mugs or pick up the empty water bottles. The buildings themselves are so run down, the doors nicked and scuffed so that I was grateful to leave to address my nausea. Simply put: unacceptable.

I travel a lot on business and generally stay in 4 and 5 star accommodations. When picking this venue and speaking with their reservations staff about their “Queen room deluxe” at a total cost of $1000 for two days. I fully expected a lovely room. Could not have been more surprised—and disappointed. While the setting on a golf course was lovely, the room itself was in sore need of attention. Significant mold under the soap dish, chrome missing from the towel bar, finishes missing from the lower half of all of the bath cabinets, scrapes and dings in the bathroom door, finials missing from the drapery, dings in the lampshade, nonfunctional wall safe. I’ve experienced this at a tired airport hotel when nothing else airport adjacent was available but have never experienced such at this price point. Had we not arrived late in the day I would have refused the room.
