Beautiful grounds, clean comfortable rooms and fun for our family
We have stayed here several times as a family but also just as a couple and always love being here..staff was very professional and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We especially like walking the grounds and playing the 9 hole putt putt around the property which is complementary. The Covey Grill surprised us with how delicious everything was and the service was excellent. The pool is small with no hot tub but was made up for by the beautiful surroundings. We tried the e-bike but it was too large for my daughter and I, it needed adjustment and we didn't have the time. Overall thought we felt the experience was exactly what we expected and left wishing we had another day.

Highly Recommended!
Beatriz, our receptionist, upgraded us to a marvelous room that we thoroughly enjoyed over the Christmas holiday. Bless her. Placed by the pond and with views of the greens outside our window, we couldn’t have chosen a better stay. We’d recommend reservations for dining; the food was excellent. This will be our go-to staycation for the future. Carmel is a quaint and throughly enjoyable area. We highly recommend this place for couples and families.

Fabulous getaway!
We have stayed here many times and we are never disappointed. The staff is all friendly and accommodating. The rooms are wonderful with lovely views of the beautiful grounds. The food is marvelous with generous portions, not to mention the magnificent views of the water features and pyramid fire heaters. The swimming pool was heated just right. The workout rooms were clean. We will definitely be back again.

Great location to relax or play golf.
Have stayed here many times and never been disappointed . View from our rooms has always been relaxing and serene . Really nice to sit by the fire or out on the deck and chill while enjoying the sunny valley. Close to the different winery’s and good restaurants and yet not too far to the romantic Carmel Village or 17 mile drive.

Very pleasant stay at The Quail
Our party of four adults & a toddler very much enjoyed our five-day holiday stay at The Quail. It’s a small-ish resort, compact enough so most facilities are within a quick walk. Our ground floor Bungalow Superior Suites were perfect for us, providing a separate sleeping area for our toddler & ample space for the grandparents to stretch out. Baths are very spacious, with enormous showers + separate tubs. I was very impressed by thoughtful little touches like TWO lighted makeup mirrors (one on a desk, one in the bath). The Covey Grill’s staff went way out of their way to accommodate our toddler, especially during the very busy Thanksgiving dinner. The grill doesn’t offer lunch, but guests may dine at the golf club’s restaurant, Edgar’s, a 10-minute walk or two-minute drive from the resort hotel. Our only suggestion would be to place snack baskets in the rooms for peckish guests. Highly recommend the Monterey Bay Aquarium & the Mexican restaurant across the street.
