What a perfect place for the most perfect honeymoon!!!! When we arrived in beautiful Belize, we stayed for 4 nights at Sleeping Giant, then 4 nights at The Banks - getting married at The Cliff - and then spent 6 nights at Jaguar Reef for our honeymoon ....It was utterly blissful and the best way/place to end off our wonderful, memory-filled vacation! And this was all thanks to Roberto Guerro, the amazing Wedding Coordinator for The Belize Collection!! We stayed in Villa A, which is absolutely beautiful with breathtaking, up-close, views of the ocean! We were welcomed by a lovely cold bottle of champagne, which was so sweet. Everything at Jaguar Reef was wonderful! The food, the drinks, the people, the warm ocean, the constant beautiful breeze. I could go on and on. We biked into Hopkins one day, which was super cute and not too far from the resort. There were a couple fun-looking and recommended restaurants and an ice cream shop, but not much else. The big souvenir shop had a lot to offer and the prices weren't too crazy - and there was a very adorable pup sleeping outside with an iguana on the bike rack when we went to leave. So, all-in-all a great experience! We did the bioluminescence boat tour, which was fun. Chris was a good 'lil story teller and kept us entertained. We saw small croc's, but no manatees. The bioluminescence was very cool! Although not the most exciting excursion, we had a great time and got to see a part of Belize that we would have otherwise missed. We mostly spent our days lazing around the villa, walking the grounds of all of the resorts that are included in the Belize Collection of resorts at Hopkins, reading, swimming in the crazily warm ocean, dipping in the plunge pool, having drinks on the loungers on the lanai, watching the pelicans, iguana's, little lizards etc. When I say it was pure bliss, it truly was. The hardest part was leaving!

We (Family of 4, with two teens) stayed at Jaguar Reef and sister property Sleeping Giant. Jaguar Reef had a great relaxed vibe to it. We rode our bikes into Hopkins, but for the most part there was enough to do in the resort and the surrounding area to have a nice relaxing family vacation. The restaurants were good (esp the desserts), the activities on property were fun, and the resort felt comfortable and nicely maintained. Our room (a 2-bedroom villa) was perfect for the four of us, and comfortable place where everyone could feel like they had their own spot. The people and staff really made the trip for us and what I would like to focus the review on. Nothing is perfect on any trip, but the staff at Jaguar Reef made us feel as part of the culture of Hopkins and Belize. Everyone was so friendly that it enhanced the service and actually made the trip more memorable. Notable shout-outs: Captain Larry – the great conversationalist. The guy that you need to talk to learn about the area. And, was just a delightful guy, always remembered your name everytime he saw you around the resort. Andy at the Restaurant. – Fixed problems, when our reservation at the restaurant got dropped, Andy fixed it. He took what could have been a bad review for the hotel to a great one. Even while training other folks, Andy was our favorite, and we felt taken care of. “Big Chris” – No disrespect to “Energizer Bunny Chris” who was amazing in his own right, “Big Chris” took us fishing from the activity center. He was fun and patient, and was part of our experience. Biggest thing: how can you tell we had a good time? A week and half later, and I am still thinking how great the people were at the resort. Jaguar Reef, keep up what you’re doing, and I hope to be back.

Captain Larry is very helpful at the lodge. He greets you with the most beautiful flowers daily. We loved Melissa who kept our Room sparkling clean and Julio was very helpful at accommodating our needs. The whole staff at Jaguar was wonderful. Thanks for making our stay pleasant

The Lodge at Jaguar Reef is a lovely and tranquil resort hugging the beach in Hopkins. It has a low-key, chill vibe with excellent food (locally sourced, lots of fish and regional flavors) and stellar service. My husband and I loved our week there! A shout out to top-notch service from Chris (Christian) in guest services whose knowledge, insights, humor, and kindness were impeccable. He’s a wonderful ambassador for Jaguar Reef (he has a brilliant future in hospitality in my opinion). Also, Tomàs in the main restaurant delivered great service with a lovely warm manner that made delicious meals even better, and kudos to the lodge itself for making service paramount. Note: Jaguar Reef is a chill and relaxing resort. If you’re looking for lots of on-resort activities and nightlife, this may not be for you. Although, there are some great excursions to be booked. If you’re looking for a relaxing and beautiful beach escape, consider Jaguar Reef!

I will never forget my honeymoon at the Jaguar Reef resort in Belize! I can honestly say it was one of the greatest experiences in my life! The trips, the food, the people, from the piña coladas to the friendly service, I would recommend this place to anyone and hope to make it back there again someday.

Paradise is the only word you need to describe the Jaguar Reef experience. Starting with one of the most beautiful places on earth and add the opportunity to share that with some of the friendliest, most generous people I've met, it's just a wonderful vacation. Special thanks to Stephanie! We will be back!
