What began in 1915 with a few tents on the shores of stunning Lac Beauvert has evolved into one of Canada's most beautiful resorts. Today, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta's Jasper National Park is a breathtaking enclave of cedar chalets and heritage log cabins. Although secluded in its rugged landscape, this picturesque property tends to the desires of discriminating travelers, with an elegant spa and an array of refined dining dedicated to the bounties of the Great White North.

Apparently we’re firing pianists now that let children sing with them? What was a great family memory only find out that they let the pianist go for letting the children sing the songs he was playing. Nope - we’re done here for good. What a disgrace.

Kiran V and the whole team at the Emerald restaurant were just incredible. Some of the best food I’ve ever had with outstanding service. He was always kind and very attentive. Our children loved the atmosphere. It was like being in a bit of a time machine while also being very comfortable.

I stayed in a multi unit cabin type building fairly close to lodge - I think that is what my reservation was for as made by Vacations by Rail. Not thrilled to have to bundle up just to walk to lodge for meals, drinks, general store and shops. On plus side the staff and food was great. Bathroom was a highlight with walk in shower, every possible amenity and enough space.

I first visited Jasper Park Lodge in the summer of 2016. It was a glorious day with bright sunshine, a gentle breeze by the lakeside, and the breathtaking view of green meadows set against a clear blue sky. From that very first moment, I knew this place would hold a special place in my heart. Starting in 2021, I have stayed at Jasper Park Lodge eight times, and each visit feels like coming home. The staff here are not just employees; they are like family. From Victoria at the front desk, to Taylor who kindly made me tea at three in the morning, to Bee who patiently helps me solve any check-in issues, everyone goes above and beyond to make each stay special. I’ve also met wonderful colleagues and friends here—Tylera, PrathTyler, Patrick, Brandon, and especially Sarah at the Health Club, who I’ve known since 2022. Each time I return, our conversations make me feel like I’m catching up with old friends. Nestled by the pristine Lac Beauvert, Jasper Park Lodge boasts some of the most stunning scenery you’ll ever see in Jasper. Whether it’s the once-in-a-decade fiery sunset, the endless starry sky, or even the northern lights, every natural spectacle here is utterly mesmerizing. Wild animals often wander by the roadside, as if you’ve stumbled into a real-life wildlife sanctuary. The heritage of the main lodge, standing for over a century, paired with the cozy standalone cabins, creates a perfect blend of classic charm and rustic comfort. One of my most unforgettable moments was during my eighth stay, when the In-Room Dining team surprised me with a welcome card and a small gift to celebrate my return. It hit me then that I’d already been here eight times. Yet, I’ve never grown tired of it. In fact, I can’t wait to bring my friends again and again—I see Jasper Park Lodge as my spiritual haven. In 2024, a significant wildfire caused substantial damage to the property, destroying several cabins completely. Despite the adversity, the lodge never lost its spirit. It provided evacuated staff with shelter and meals (with special thanks to Fairmont Hotel Macdonald and Fairmont Palliser), and most importantly, continued paying employees instead of laying them off. Even the General Manager, whose own house was burned to the ground, kept everyone informed with daily updates. His resilience and dedication exemplify the heart and soul of Jasper Park Lodge. When I think of Jasper Park Lodge, I picture the gentle clinking of the flagpole in the breeze, the crackle of marshmallows roasting over a campfire, and Canada geese gliding gracefully across the water. These sights and sounds bring back precious memories of Jasper and everything good I’ve experienced here. For me, it’s not just a hotel; it’s a home away from home—one that continues to warm my heart and where I’ve found a profound sense of belonging. I’ll be back again soon, and I can’t recommend Jasper Park Lodge highly enough. If you are looking for a place that offers genuine hospitality, stunning natural beauty, and a comforting sense of community, this is it. Here’s to many more wonderful stays and cherished moments!

We stayed here with six people and we had a great time in and around the lodge. I do recognise some of the earlier comments that the rooms (at least in ‘the heights’ are a bit outdated, but it did not bother us. Bathroom is small, but rooms were clean and well equipped. Point for improvement: there should be a possibility to switch off the light above the front door as it too bright during the night. Restaurant next to the lobby serves a nice variety of food, including vegetarian option, but service is slow. They forgot to bring the fries and when we asked they pretended it was an additional order. Food is coming in waves and not all at the same time. It was very quiet, so not sure why it took so long to get drinks/food. Italian restaurant downstairs and breakfast: same issue. One dish was incomplete compared to the menu. Slow serving and not everything was served at the same time, which is not what you expect in this lodge and given the prices.
