Reviews for Melia Serengeti Lodge

Best trip of my life!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I can’t say enough about this experience. First, everyone we have encountered were super friendly, hospitable and kind. The Tanzanian culture is incredible and the staff at the property are the sweetest people. I was genuinely upset to leave. Big thank you to Yusuph, Shabani, Dennis, Moses, Jacob, Diana, Ezekiel, and the wonderful escort night guards who made our walk back to our room safe and fun. During our time here, we saw rhinos, elephants, zebras, lions, hyenas, aquatic birds, other birds, vultures, warthogs, mongoose, donkeys, cows, sheep, giraffes, wildabeests, hippos, baboons, servile cats, buffalos, dikdiks, impalas, different types of gazelles. To see these animals in their natural state is incredible, and the nature , stars and greenery is an instant mood enhancer.

Melia was a perfect end to Tanzania adventure.

We enjoyed the melia after climbing Kilimanjaro and a more rustic safari in Ndutu. It was perfect. The staff was outstanding. Joshua even asked the chef to make us avocado ice cream because we were saying how much we enjoyed the avocados. I know most people go out for safari but if your time allows for some R&R this places was next level.

Extraordinary visit to Serengeti

Great hotel in the heart of the Serengeti. The facilities are of superior quality. The food and its ingredients is excellent. The efficiency and kindness of the staff is remarkable. Take your time to have a free day to enjoy the hotel, the swimming pool and the fantastic view.

Best Hotel Stay of my Life

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

This was the best trip of my life, due completely to the staff at Melia Serengeti. From the time we arrived at the airport, to when we hugged everyone goodbye, it was the best experience. Our safari guide (Sia) was incredible and made sure we saw every animal we came to see, the food was expectational, and when we weren't out on a game drive, the pool, and balcony from our room was the most perfect place to relax. I will forever be a Melia Resort customer after this trip.

A luxurious and relaxing base while in Serengeti

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

As part of our incredible 7-day safari with Jaribu Africa Adventures (our guide Julius was excellent!), we spent 3 nights at the Gran Melia Luxury Lodge in the Serengeti. The lodge was a perfect retreat after exciting days of game drives with our family of five. The accommodations were luxurious and provided a welcome respite. A great choice while in Serengeti during a safari tour.
