We enjoyed a great wine tasting experience delivered by knowledgeable and friendly staff. A good selection of wines were on offer, and there is a good shop for purchasing wine and gifts. There are also restaurants and other amenities at the site, but as we were on a group tour we didn’t experience these.

The wine tasting was exceptional! Amanda was very knowledgable and made the whole experience one of my favourite ones in my whole trip! Boschendal is much more rustic and the grounds are beautiful to walk around however I would recommend the tasting to be done at the cellar door than at the restaurants.

Great Visit, but do not provide Tax Invoice

We spent a nice day here, starting with a wine tasting and lunch. The kids were also able to do a juice tasting and play on the playground. It was quite busy, but we were still able to enjoy it. We bought several wines and other items in the farm store and asked several times for the VAT registration number/Tax Invoice to be able to claim our refund at the airport. The manager assured us that it would be accepted at the airport without a VAT number and lo and behold it was not accepted. I question why this huge estate is not registered with a VAT#.

Absolutely amazing place, wine tasting and picnic! They catered for all of my dietary needs without any issues! So so happy! Beautiful place and the farm shop is perfect for buying travel presents. We will be back for sure!!! Thank you so much xx

This is a truly remarkable location. Away from the craziness of Cape Town, the beautiful gardens, immaculate grounds and “I need to buy everything in here!” farm shop, are difficult to beat. Strongly suggest that you go at a weekend or on a public holiday, grab the bits for a picnic in the shop and then retire to the bandstand for the perfect lunch. The Stellenbosch wine region is somewhere that you absolutely have to visit, and I just don’t get fed up with going to this wonderful place.
