The entire floor we were staying on smelled of water damage, must and mildew. Aroma the moment you step off the elevator and into our room. The room was much smaller than appeared in the website and felt it barely had room for the queen bed. Front desk was condescending on check in for us not having stayed at the facility before.

The bathroom was great. Bed was very comfy. Pool looked fun though we didn't use it. The room was nice and the bed was comfy. The air conditioner in the room blew right on me and we had to move the table and chairs to block it. Wifi was spotty. No real food options in the hotel and the "snacks" for sale were way overpriced. We got a room at the FAR, FAR END of a very narrow and winding hallway that we had trouble navigating the cart through. The worst part was the staff. Young and insolent. Always on their phones. Pat answers for things. She said there was a "key" on the side to turn on the gas fireplace. We looked and looked. There was none. The front desk didn't answer the phone. Found out, much later, there was a timer on the wall that turned on the fireplace. The front desk sent us to a restaurant with a long list of beer but horrible food. Finally an older woman who worked in the Realty Office of the hotel helped us with our questions. Can't recommend with the staff they have.

The lodge is at a great location. Near the park entrance. Overall the lodge is well maintained. We went early oct so lot of the restaurants were closed. The staff are not very friendly but ok. They Nickle and dime you on some amenities but otherwise a pleasant stay.

Checked in to this hotel september 23rd for a four night stay. When we were shown our room we were shocked and left to go elsewhere. W hen we got off this horrible two person elevator on the third floor, the stench of cleaning and disinfecting materials was unbearable. We had reserved a deluxe king bed with a balcony. We were shown a small, dark ,dirty , depressing room. The balcony we requested was the fire escape. This web site for this hotel is false advertising . We are not even sure it's actually the property . No one from the hotel ever contacted us after we left. When we returned home I called to speak to the General Manager. I received a terse e-mail from a clerk stating there would be no refund of my fully paid $3,000. In my 75 years of travel, I have never experienced anything like this. I called the owners , Blue Flag Capitol with no response. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. Lou Guyott

Room is a little dated but overall quite pleasant. Make sure to ask for a room not on top of the parking lot. Bathroom accessories are lovely and unexpected and make sure to partake in the nicely appointed mini bar. My favorite was the hot apple cider Keurig pod. Had 2 of those. Staff are lovely. All-in-all, a good stop from the airport. Only problem is the hotel bar was closed when we arrived at 9pm and the whole area closes for food at 9:30pm. Arrive well fed.
