We stayed at the Safari Lodge specifically to visit the Victoria Falls .. Lovely room 12 .. on 2 levels and a wonderful balcony looking out on to the watering hole Nice swimming pool and bar area .. Dinner was very nice ..we were served by Rufaro who was absolutely charming.. We enjoyed watching some elephants coming to the watering hole from a nearly elephant sanctuary.. Breakfast was excellent We got a taxi $10 to the Falls at 7:30am and practically there was only a few of us there so it made our visit fantastic.. we swapped our plastic coats we bought with us for some carved animals at the market opposite We also got a ticket and we weee cycled over the bridge Taxi picked us up again for $10 and the lovely Steve from the hotel drove us to the airport at noon Fab flying visit ..

This stay was part of a 2 week package tour and it was very impressive. The never ending views overlooking the Zambezi National Park including a watering hole, two tiered rock swimming pools and open air bar and dining was an experience I'll never forget. The room were unique and very comfortable. Service was excellent. All our tour group was impressed.

If you don't mind being away from the town of Victoria Falls then this is a good place to stay. A friend and I each had a 'duplex' room with views of the watering hole - we saw elephants, wart hogs, buffalo, vultures, storks, and the 'resident' crocodile (bring some binoculars for an even better experience). The room was well-equipped although I had an issue with a dripping A/C unit (plus one or two other niggles e.g. bed-side lamp not working, fridge not re-stocked regularly). The bathroom was well-equipped too - and large! A good and varied selection for breakfast. Watch out for monkeys trying to steal something! Dinner service wasn't as good, portion-size varied (for the same order), starters and mains arrived at the same time, cocktails were not particularly well made. The grounds at the front are quite expansive and worth a stroll through. I wouldn't recommend walking out towards the waterhole though! The one exception is when the hotel staff give a daily feed to the vultures and storks. You can go down the stairs at the back to get a better view of the feeding frenzy. You'll need a car, taxi, or the hotel shuttle if you want to leave the grounds. we found the shuttle to be adequate.

Beautiful location, luxury accommodations and wonderful service. Situated adjacent to the national park with its own watering hole made this experience magical. Imagine sitting either on your balcony or bar/dining areas watching many various animals stroll by. The suite was beautifully appointed with all the amenities. The staff were warm and friendly. This was the highlight of our trip.
