Reviews for Willows Lodge

Great Getaway

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The Willows was a perfect long weekend getaway. From the minute we pulled up to the door, the staff seemed happy and appreciate that we were there. They all went out of their way to help. The room had a fireplace that was guaranteed to take the chill off in the morning and to be a place to sit and enjoy wine in the evening. The room we had was very spacious, well decorated and comfortable. The location is perfect for visiting tasting rooms and walking distance to many. Restaurants close by are great and walking distance or a short Uber ride away.

Beautiful Lodge within walking distance of many of the wineries

What a beautiful hotel this was right in the center of things. The grounds were meticulously maintained and the attention to detail in the rooms was very noticeable. We walked most places and the staff was super helpful with recommendations and tending to our needs. We loved our stay.

The lodge was lovely and the grounds were beautiful. The close proximity to wineries, restaurants and walking trails was perfect. The live music was an unexpected delight and perfect for the venue. Being able to walk to Chateau St. Michelle was amazing.

An Oasis in Woodinvile, WA

Such an oasis with a great location to all the wine tasting rooms and of course the Chateau St. Michelle outdoor music venue. Great staff...the best room amenities. Barking Frog was off the charts great with farm to table fare. Great wine list and a nice breakfast as a bonus.

Truly Disappointed due to lack of hospitality and unmet expectations.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Upon arrival in our Lyft (with four bags) were met by . . . No one. Dragged our luggage inside by ourselves and arrived at a front desk staffed by two polite yet utterly unhelpful people. Wine (mentioned in pre-arrival email as justification for the $35 resort fee) was neither offered nor evident. Given a choice of two rooms (we were ‘upgraded’ to a suite because apparently the normal king room I reserved was not available, more later on why this was no real upgrade). We took the one on the lower floor because of the perceived challenge of lugging our bags up to the other option, which was on the second floor with no elevator. Polite greeter pointed us toward our room and offered zero information about the property, the area, the amenities etc. It bears mentioning again that no wine was offered, which would have been fine if none was mentioned, but the expectation was set by the property, so this left us feeling we were somehow getting second rate service. Which we were. Now the room. I would happily have traded the ‘extras’ for a decent pillow. Big fat heavy blobs of polyester covered the bed, another place where advertised expectations (premium bedding) were unmet. The suite was big but like a bunker, dark and disconnected from the gardens outside. There were three or four tv screens and remote controls on almost every surface. The bed was hidden in the dark middle away from the windows, facing a large light-up mirror that made me feel like I was watching myself in a tv screen. Not a single seat faced outward toward the limited yet desired natural light. The worst was the bathroom, crowned by a fully automatic and utterly intimidating light-up toilet/bidet combination that randomly cycled during the night and every trip into or out of the shower. Good grief!

We stayed at Willows Lodge and it was one of the best vacations we've ever had. From the moment we checked in, we experienced five-star customer service and it exceeded every expectation we could have imagined.

We recently returned from our vacation at Willows Lodge. It was truly a remarkable stay - from the accommodations, to the sightseeing trip, and the dining experience. This was our 4th trip Luxury Link. Every time we leave, we say we will never stay in a place that great again - until the next time we stay at a Luxury Link property. Thank you for the opportunity to experience places we would normally not venture to.

My wife and I just returned two days ago from a four night stay at the Willows Lodge. I have to agree with the previous two reviewers on every count. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were treated like royalty. I frequently get the impression that even top scale resorts are trying to pinch pennies by nickel and diming their customers, but that is absolutely not the case at Willows Lodge. We used our wine tasting voucher on the first night and instead of getting tastes of two wines as indicated on the voucher, each of us was treated to the two wines and a glass of champagne, and then given the remaining third of a bottle to take back to our room to finish at our leisure. One evening, we returned to the hotel and the clerk at the front desk offered each of us a complimentary glass of wine. How's that for making a customer feel special!

At the on-site Barking Frog restaurant, we found breakfasts were delicious and prepared using only the best and freshest ingredients. The Saturday and Sunday brunch menu allowed us to choose between breakfast and lunch items. The coupe de grace was the lunch basket we opted to take with us for our long drive home. We placed our order the previous night and a backpack was handed to us when we checked out. The backpack contained everything from our lunch (sandwiches, fruit, crackers, three different types of cheeses, fresh baked cookies and bottled water) to a cutting board, cutlery, and a corkscrew. We tried to explain that we were going home and wouldn't be able to return the kit, but the clerk explained that the kit was part of the deal. What a great send off.

Our stay at the Willows Lodge was our fourth Luxury Link experience. Although our three other stays were wonderful, this one was absolutely perfect in every respect.
