Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

Had a wonderful time time at this beautiful resort. The standout was the quality of food and drinks at all the restaurants. We love coffee and having the 24 hour coffee shop was such a nice addition. Beautiful resort with a wonderful happy and helpful staff!

It was truly amazing!! Everything was perfect and I loved every minute of being there! Roberto Canul was far and above gracious and attentive! He always greeted us by name and with excitement! He made us feel like we were old friends. I will request him as my concierge the next time I visit and will recommend him to anyone traveling to your beautiful resort!

The positives: The hotel and the beach are beautiful. Such fabulous service, a quiet beach, and the best infinity pool I've ever seen! And the staff did a GREAT job every day straightening and cleaning our room. The neutral: The food and drinks were good. For breakfast, I'd recommend waiting for an outdoor table instead of eating in the conference room. Lunch was at the pool each day for us - pizza, wraps, salad, nachos- nothing fancy but good stuff. For dinner, we had work obligations half the nights (outdoor buffet in a wedding-like setting), room service one night, and the Seaside Grill the other night. The negatives: our room was on the 3rd floor in building 21, and it was MUSTY smelling and kind of damp. In retrospect, we should have upgraded to preferred to have access to a better building as well as the lovely preferred club restaurant/lounge by the beach. (To be fair, we did not report any issues as we were on a business trip that was free for us. I think the hotel would have worked to make us happy if we had complained.) Tip #1: if you like quiet, I'd recommend going to the pool in the morning, and then moving to the beach when the pool gets more active in the afternoon. The grass hut umbrellas are free - no need to rent a beach bed if you don't want to. Tip #2: TIP! The staff works really hard and deserves tips. We brought $20s and had them exchanged for $1s and $5s at the front desk. Tip #3: if you want eggs for breakfast, skip the scrambled eggs on the buffet and order an omelet- it was much better!

Great experience! We will come back!! Everything was perfect! The food was absolutely phenomenal. And the ocean and beach was best I have been on in awhile. Very little seaweed. The staff was polite and so helpful. Grounds and room were clean and perfectly cared for.

Excellent resort! This is our second experience in a Secrets hotel (the other was at the Secrets Cap Cana in Dominican Republic) and the experience was top tier as expected. Staff is friendly, hotel is super clean, and food is great! The beach is among the most beautiful in all of Mexico. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
