Reviews for Enchantment Resort

1 star meals with 5 star pricing, save your shekels

The staff are generally kind and gracious, and as helpful as they can in whatever mismanaged environment they are currently operating under. We had a fantastic experience with the Tennis Pro learning Pickleball as a private group, they made it super accessible for all athletic abilities. The resort is overpriced and in need of an update. The food options and quality are nowhere near what one expects when spending $1200/night for accommodations and ~$50/person/meal. Fine Dining, it is not. The rooms are the same from my last visit in 2010, truly lacking modern amenities and still have the same musty, stale smell they did back then. With weeks of planning with the Concierge to plan every aspect of the weekend so carefully, upon arrival everything fell apart. Rooms were not available until after guaranteed check in, decorations and floral arrangements were lost or not put out as planned and promised, and birthday cakes made by the pastry chef at the resort were lost. It was pretty pathetic for a group of 7 to have at least 2 meals sent back each time due to improper handling of food allergies that were documented and discussed pre-arrival, at ordering, and upon delivery to the table. Buyer beware.

Heaven on earth and such a helpful and friendly team looking after us. The location is unique, natural beauty, wildlife - just breathtaking. Service, restaurant, bar…. Everything is very special. Could not recommend this place enough! Bravo.

Very good but not great

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

One way I measure a vacation is if I want to go back. The answer is no in the case of Sedona and the Enchantment Resort. This was our first trip to Sedona, and from what we heard, we had high expectations. The area is beautiful, with just some stunning scenery. Sedona is perfect if you are really into hiking, mountain biking, or off-roading; outside of that, a day or overnight trip should do it. Over the holidays, Sedona, the town was way too busy and touristy and had little charm. Overall, the Enchantment Resort does a very good job. However, the resort was at capacity, and its resources were stretched a little thin. The most disappointing part for us was the location of our Casita. Our balcony overlooked the maintenance area, and a fuel truck idling fifty feet from our room woke us up the first morning. So, please inquire about your specific location when booking. The food at all the restaurants was very good, but there were limited choices for dinner. We also had issues with housekeeping when several services were missed entirely. Our verdict was that it was very good but not great. I'm glad we went, but we won't be back.

Stunning Red Rocks Luxury Resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The grounds and scenery were stunning. The room accommodation was comfortable, warm and relaxing, supplying all of our toiletry needs, robes and slippers. Guest services provided swift, and courteous attention to our needs. The Southwest resident pricing allowed us to stay at this luxurious resort during an off peak week in December. However the pricing of the, restaurants, activities and Spa amenities did not allow us to take advantage of those offerings.

Great spa, great property. Beware the “casitas” if you value any privacy.

First the good and great: Mii Amo spa is hands-down the best in Arizona. This even beats out Camelback Inn and Monte Lucia. The whole experience is just incredible, peaceful and relaxing, the therapists are top-notch. Staff throughout the property are attentive, knowledgeable and friendly making your stay really great! Not so great: Biggest disappointment is the “Casitas”, which we’ve stayed in both pre and now post-remodel: There’s zero privacy between neighboring units. They are arranged as stand-alone 3-unit buildings. If you were to rent the full unit (I suppose you can do that) for a large group or family, and open all 3 up to each other as a big villa, great! The problem is throughout our 3-night stay, multiple parties came and went from the two adjacent units (we were in the middle), and we could hear absolutely every word they spoke, step they took, as if they were sitting in the room with us. Granted, some people are naturally just “loud” (lack of situational awareness?), but this really is a “building” problem. The other guests were not overtly loud or partying. I recall this being an issue when we stayed 3-4 years ago, and wrote it off as something uniquely deficient with the room we stayed in, but upon returning again this year, same problem. I’m well aware Enchantment will do nothing about this as a result of my review, I just want to warn visitors who may be more sensitive to these things, it really could effect your stay and experience. If this is you, I’d say your best bet is to either a) specifically avoid staying in any of the “Casita” rooms, or b) if you must, make sure you stay on one of the two end units of the casita, not in the middle, where you’ll be doubling down on the neighboring noise experience.
