One of the best reasons for booking your hotel on Luxury Link is our access to negotiated rates and special amenities through our elite membership in the Signature Travel Network.
What is the Signature Travel Network?
The Signature Travel Network is a member-owned community of the top luxury travel agencies and suppliers in the industry. Because of our combined sales power and the caliber of the people who book with us (you), the Network is able to negotiate special rates and exclusive amenities which we pass on to you. In addition, we have a dedicated contact person at each Signature hotel. That means quick answers to your questions and direct access to special requests.
What are Signature Amenities?
The negotiated amenities vary by hotel, but typically include things like:
- Complimentary breakfast daily for two or more guests
- Hotel credits for services like food and beverages or spa treatments
- Welcome amenities, such as chocolates or wine in your room
- Room upgrades based on availability
- Early check-in and late check-out based on availability
- Complimentary Wifi
How do the credits work?
Often time Signature Amenities will include $50 or $100 credits to use at the property. While every offer varies and it’s important to check the details, you can often use them at the hotel restaurants, lounges, spa, and even parking! Be sure to ask exactly where you can use your credit and how it will be applied to your folio when you check in.
Nearly always, you will need to charge the expense to your room – not a credit card. That way the amount of the credit can be subtracted from your folio when it’s time to check out. If you don’t use the full amount of the credit, only the amount you used will be subtracted. Some hotels will offer a voucher instead, so again, be sure to get all the specifics when you check in.
Can I get multiple resort credits if I make a separate reservation for each day of my stay?
While that would make for an even more amazing deal, the hotel is not going to fall for it. Unless stated otherwise, hotel credits are only available once per stay and a stay is considered to be one or more consecutive days by the same person. Besides, if you had separate reservations for each day, you would probably have to check out and check back in each day — to a different room.
Can I also use the resort credit to tip?
It depends on the hotel. Always be sure to ask when you’re checking in if your resort credit can also be used for tipping purposes. If it can’t, try to carry cash on you as it makes the tipping process easier for all parties involved.
Do kids get a complimentary breakfast as well?
Complimentary breakfast is usually available for two guests, be they adults or children, at one of the resort’s restaurants. While some hotels may offer free breakfast for children under a certain age, it’s always important to verify this with the hotel before you order.
Does a complimentary breakfast mean I can eat as much as I want?
Not typically. Be sure to ask during check-in as hotels usually have a set amount of money they’re allotting for the complimentary breakfast. So, you may order whatever you want at the in-house restaurant, but the hotel might only comp up to $50.
Is there a minimum night stay requirement?
Most hotels don’t require guests to stay a minimum number of nights in order to enjoy the Signature Amenities, but there are a few. Some hotels might have a smaller number of amenities available for shorter stays and some might not offer any at all. Be sure to input your check-in/check-out dates on the hotel page on Luxury Link to see what’s available.
Can the Signature amenities be combined with the hotel’s rewards program?
Yes! Unless otherwise noted, all rates on Luxury Link are eligible to earn points with hotel loyalty programs (if they have one). Some hotels might not offer points for certain highly discounted rates, but that’s pretty rare. Just be sure to give the front desk your loyalty number when you check in.
What is a “Welcome Amenity?”
Welcome amenities vary by location. Some hotels may offer a welcome card upon arrival, while others may send up some wine to your room. It all depends on the hotel and its current availability. The Welcome Amenity is a great way for the staff to greet you and get to know you, as they will be assisting you for the remainder of your stay.
How do the room upgrades and early check-in/late check-out work?
Room upgrades and early check-in/late check-out are not guaranteed and only offered if availability allows. If the hotel is full or housekeeping hasn’t gotten to the room you’ll be staying in yet, you will not be offered these amenities. Be sure to keep this in mind when booking your hotel room. If an ocean view is important to you, book it! Don’t assume that you’ll be upgraded to one when you arrive.
If availability allows, you will be offered an upgrade to the next category up within the same type. A standard resort view room may be upgraded to a standard room with an ocean view, but a standard room wouldn’t be upgraded to a suite.
What if I called the hotel and they didn’t know what Signature Amenities I was referring to?
If you have any questions about the Signature Amenities or your reservation and want to confirm with the hotel, be sure to speak with the front desk directly. If you “press one to speak with reservations,” you’re often transferred to a call center. Most of these call centers handle bookings for hundreds of hotels and are unaware of any extra amenities or how to modify an existing reservation.
If in doubt, don’t hesitate to reach out to Luxury Link via support@luxurylink.com. We’ll touch base with our dedicated Signature contact to assist however we can.
Can I get the Signature Amenities if I book a different rate?
In order to enjoy the various amenities mentioned, be sure to book the rate titled Signature Perks Package on Luxury Link. Booking a different rate, like Flexible or Advance Purchase, will cause you to lose out on the amenities described.
