With each season comes a new adventure, such as archery, pony rides and river rafting in the summer to dogsledding, skijoring and magical sleigh rides in the winter. As the seasons shift, there are also changes at The Resort, with the opening of the newest adult-only resort, the green o, part of the Paws Up Collection. the green o features floor-to-ceiling glass windows with four different design options, one of which being a tree house stay that creates the perfect intimate sanctuary for you and your loved one.

Besides the green o, The Resort at Paws Up features plenty of other luxury accommodations for families and small or large groups traveling to Montana, with options ranging from ranch houses to moonlight camping to Wilderness Estates. Fly-Fishing on the River

Every fall, Paws Up offers one of their most popular activities—fly-fishing on the Blackfoot River. You can get lucky and catch a trout, which makes not only for a fantastic photo-op, but also for a wonderful memory. The Resort is located within the “golden triangle” of trout fly-fishing, making it a great location to put your skills to the test.

Montana Master Chefs

Another familiar favorite of the patrons of the Paws Up Resort is a fall foodie event. For Montana Master Chefs®, this September 23–26, The Resort hosts master chefs from the Pacific Northwest (PNW) that take American cuisine into new, uncharted territories. This three-day weekend will expand your pallet, from delicious Dungeness crabs to Chinook salmon, with truffles, mushrooms, pears, apples and peaches, all paired with Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays so you can taste all that the PNW has to offer. At the very end of the weekend, you will see the chefs have a final cook-off. This festival, along with a full belly, also brings you live musical performances with outdoor views beyond compare.

Glamping Under the Stars

Not much is better than a crisp, clear night spent underneath the array of billions of stars. Thanks to the Certified S’moreologists at Paws Up, you can sit back and relax as you are taken through the step-by-step process on how to create the perfect s’more with added bursts of flavor, such as sea salt caramel squares and candied bacon. With your s’more in hand, loved ones by your side and the stars directly above you, you are all set for the perfect night.

Friends of James Beard Weekend

If you couldn’t yet tell, food and adventure go hand in hand at The Resort at Paws Up. With help from the James Beard Foundation, The Resort brings in America’s finest chefs to show off their culinary skills for you from October 8–10, immersing you in fine dining and delicious wine pairings. The Friends of James Beard Weekend event is not to be missed, as these chefs will collaborate and join skills together to bring you the highest quality experience possible.

Of course, there are plenty more activities to try out during the fall season, such as taking your shot at the Old West .22 Rifle Range. With custom gun sizes, even kids can feel safe participating in this Wild West activity. If shooting ranges aren’t your style, paintball may be more up your alley. On an all-natural course, take your chances at coloring the competition in a friendly game of paintball, where no one leaves as clean as they started. For the more classic adventurer, The Resort offers archery. You will be given a compound bow and a lesson on shooting, and then set out into the woods to find various 3D animals scattered about.
