About this Villa

Situated on the prestigious Platinum Coast of Barbados, in the parish of St. Peter, this five-bedroom, luxury beach villa offers up to ten guests the ultimate in contemporary luxury. Stylish decor and clean lines work in harmony with the prime, beachfront location, offering the perfect retreat for rest and relaxation.

Measuring over 13,500 square feet, this luxury Barbados villa boasts a sleek and contemporary design - the work of local award-winning architects Gillespie & Steel - and uses some of the island's most beautiful materials. The clever design brings the outside in, so you can enjoy incredible views of your infinity pool and the sea beyond from the comfort of your spacious, open plan living area.

Gated and private, your luxury beach villa combines modern comforts with stylish living. From the Boffi kitchen and designer furnishings - think Ralph Lauren and Christian Liaigre - to the five en suite bedrooms with sea-facing terraces, no expense has been spared to ensure a stay at Godings Beach House is truly special. There's even a state-of-the-art gym, glass-walled study and home cinema room, not to mention a range of high-end water sports equipment.

A team of professional staff is on hand at your Barbados villa to tend to your every need. Your private cook will tailor menus to your exact taste, while your house manager can arrange everything from unforgettable dining experiences at some of the island's most exclusive restaurants, to sunrise yoga sessions and stand-up paddle boarding adventures.

A double staircase with feature Verpan seashell chandelier leads upstairs to five spacious en suite bedrooms. A few have four-poster beds dressed with white linen, and all have American oak flooring, Ralph Lauren bed stools and a smattering of other unique design pieces. Each bedroom has a walk-in dressing room, private terrace and luxury bathroom furnished with Hansgrohe rain shower, mosaic tiles from Ann Sacks and marble vanities. The master suite's large bathtub sits at the base of a floor-to-ceiling window offering sweeping garden views down to the beach.

The main entrance with Holly Hunt consoles leads to the living area which is open plan and spacious with neutral tones, pale limestone flooring and an impressive local coral feature wall. Large windows make the most of the surrounding sea and pool views. The living and dining areas are furnished with designer pieces from the likes of Maxalto, Christian Liaigre and Ralph Lauren as well as a pair of B&B Italia sofas.

The stylish Boffi kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons, a large breakfast table and a wall-mounted TV. There are a few dining options to choose from. Dine inside, around the grand bespoke Whetstone Oak dining table, or alfresco, on one of two shaded dining areas for delicious lazy lunches or an evening barbecue under the stars. Your personal cook will be happy to tailor menus to your party's preferences, using the designated Chef's kitchen.

The house also offers a glass-walled study, a state-of-the-art gym and a media room where film fans can enjoy access to every movie on iTunes and Netflix, streamed directly from their iPad or iPhone to a large cinema screen. These rooms boast stunning coastal art pieces by Nicola Bealing, from Cornwall, and Guy Leclef. Sonos is also available in all main rooms for music streaming.

Godings Beach House sits in approximately 1.2 acres of landscaped gardens, featuring two shaded dining areas and a yoga pavilion. With plenty of spots to enjoy a perfectly mixed cocktail, palm trees and scented shrubs scatter the grounds, with a pebbled path leading directly to a protected beach where you might be lucky enough to witness newly hatched turtles making their way to the sea. For healthy infusions, pepping up salads, or botanical cocktails, the herb and Caribbean spice garden is brimming with fresh mint, basil, coriander and ginger.

The sleek 25-metre mosaic-lined pool is perfect for early morning laps, surrounded by limestone tiles and comfy sun loungers where you can relax during the day with a good book.

About Little Battaleys

Barbados is a beautiful island on the eastern tip of the Caribbean. Its most famous asset is, of course, its white-sand beaches and azure sea, both of which combine to produce some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. Those looking to simply relax by the beach tend to prefer the Caribbean side, which is located in the south and west of the island and offers calm, warm, light-blue water. Those looking to surf or windsurfing, though, will prefer the waves of the Atlantic waters on the east side.

Nightlife and dancing lovers, meanwhile, would be wise to stay near all the action on the St Lawrence Gap, which offers a wide variety of local performances such as the famously colourful Tuk band, known to wow audiences with their skills on the bass drum, kettle drum, and penny whistle. Our wide selection of Barbados luxury vacation rentals may help make your stay complete, but, no matter where you stay, you will enjoy access to pristine beach fronts, world-class golf courses, duty-free shopping, and a wide range of entertainment options.

DINING

Barbados boasts an exquisite selection of restaurants offering a wide array of culinary specialties. Ranging from delicious local dishes to international cuisine prepared by some of Europe and the Caribbean’s top chefs, Barbados dining choices are seemingly endless.

The West Coast is home to many of the island's most popular dining spots, including five-star restaurants, quaint local eateries and specialty restaurants offering an assortment of cosmopolitan flavours, including Asian, Indian, Italian and French-inspired menus. In recent years the South Coast has also seen a boom in fine dining facilities, and you can find many local favourites nestled among the hotels and entertainment venues.

During the day most establishments accept casual attire, however visitors should keep in mind that Barbados is a conservative island and appropriate cover-ups and shoes are required, even at the beach bars. In the evening, a more formal dress code is expected, however a dinner jacket is not required.

A nominal gratuity is often included in the bill, especially for larger parties; however it is at the discretion of the guest to increase or decrease the amount as they deem appropriate.

GOLF

Royal Westmoreland Golf Course

Royal Westmoreland features a world-class 6,870-yard 18-hole championship course with spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea, well-maintained greens and beautiful tropical surroundings. The par-72 course offers a challenging set-up, with the par threes renowned as some of the best in the world. The course is studded with bunkers, some taking advantage of the natural environment, including a coral stone quarry between the 5th and 6th hole and a ravine bordering a tight green at the 12th hole. Each hole is designed to accommodate a range of player expertise.

Sandy Lane Golf Club

With spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea, verdant greens and vivid tropical blooms and lush gullies lining the fairways, Sandy Lane Golf Club is renowned as one of the most stunning courses in the Caribbean. Part of the 5-star Sandy Lane Resort, the Country Club strives to provide players with a golfing experience like none other. The first course designed outside the United States by distinguished course architect Tom Fazio, the Country Club features open fairways, angled slopes and five lakes. With five par threes, eight par fours and five par five holes, the 7,060-yard course provides a challenging experience for professional and amateur golfers alike. In 2006 the Country Club hosted the World Golf Championships World Cup, a four-day tournament attended by international players and spectators alike.
