Kenwood Lodge

Kenwood Lodge has just completed a major renovation to become the finest private luxury villa at the very heart of the Sonoma Valley. Surrounded by nature, the Lodge is situated just off the mouth of a granite canyon that becomes Sugar Loaf State Park. Secluded and picturesque, with views to the forested peaks of the nearby state park, this estate is just minutes from the best wineries around Kenwood, including Chateau St Jean, Landmark, Kunde, etc.

Constructed to be a green facility, the Lodge has been lovingly filled with reclaimed materials and the most efficient features. The outdoor splendor merges with the indoors as endless windows can be folded back to open completely to the great outdoors. The house is 4500 square feet with grand room ceilings soaring to 20 feet, includes five bedrooms with five en-suite bathrooms, two fireplaces, professional kitchen, wine bar, media room, lap pool with waterfall, eight person spa/hot tub, stone fire-pit, bocce court, extensive outdoor lounging and dining areas. Art Deco antiques abound with an informal 'feet up' level of comfort and ease throughout.

The pool can be heated; fees apply. *Please note in the rainy season (typically November-March/April) outdoor cushions are stored. Idyllic in the summer, the house is uniquely fabulous in the winter, spring, and fall because of the great room and its massive fireplace. A ten foot wine bar in the sunroom affords temperature-controlled refrigeration for optimal wine tasting. When outdoor temperatures drop, there is radiant heat (under the oak flooring). When the rainy season starts, the nearby creek fills and rushes by to the valley floor. It can sound like a waterfall is across the way; truly delightful.

A memorable gathering place is the outdoor fire-pit under a 150-foot tall fir tree with adjacent 18-foot slab table - a fabulous place to dine or gather around a glowing fire, share stories or open a bottle of your favorite new discovery. At sunset, the hills of the state park radiate an amazing display of colours that fill the sky and herald a fitting end to your perfect day in Wine Country.
