About this Villa

Florence, the captivating capital of Tuscany, draws an impressive annual influx of tourists, numbering between 10 to 16 million. Revered for its rich historical tapestry, unparalleled artistry, and thriving cultural scene, Florence stands as an enthralling destination. Nestled along the northern fringes of the Chianti Classico region, with Siena to the south, the city enjoys proximity to renowned vineyards and wineries, tempting visitors to savor the exquisite flavors of this globally acclaimed wine.

However, the allure of this locale transcends the realms of wine enthusiasts. Chianti envelops travelers in breathtaking countryside vistas, enticing them to relish rustic culinary adventures. This enchanting corner of Tuscany caters to those with a penchant for gastronomic delights and an insatiable thirst for cultural exploration.

For those in search of an authentic historical immersion, Villa Gloriante beckons, nestled within a mere 25 minutes from Florence, perched atop the picturesque Chianti hills. Boasting a storied past interwoven with illustrious Florentine families, the villa once served as both a private residence and the epicenter of a distinguished wine-producing enterprise, renowned for its exquisite Chianti Classico wine. In 1999, the current owner inherited the estate and embarked on an extensive project of meticulous restoration and enhancement, painstakingly reviving the property to its former grandeur.

Famous for its art and architecture, Florence is an obligatory destination for the first-timer visitor of Italy. However, while exploring the historical center is something that cannot be missed, the pristine studded landscapes and the enchanted medieval villages set on the famous Tuscan rolling hills surrounding Florence are well worth a visit.

The most famous area to explore is the Chianti, a blessed land that covers a rather large wine-producing region of Tuscany, reaching from Florence to Siena, and all the way out to Pisa. Chianti's must see sights are the wine villages of Castellina, Radda and Gaiole. Along the road visit the Badia di Coltibuono and/or Castello di Brolio and do not forget to pick up some wine to enjoy at the villa!
