Tanager House is a 4-bedroom, 3-bath modern mountain home that sleeps 8 in the Moonlight Basin community. With sweeping views of the Madison Range, including Lone Peak and the Spanish Peaks, Big Sky Resort is only 2.4 miles away! Guests will love having direct ski-in/ski-out access from a groomed, novice-friendly ski trail that leads to Madison Base Area, as well as the private hot tub that is perfect for soothing muscles after a day on the mountain.

This stunning 2-story home, updated in 2022, boasts new carpets and furniture, modern window treatments, stylish light fixtures, and captivating art with many pieces by Montana artists. An open foyer with a bench, hooks, and 4 ski lockers, alongside boot dryers and ski racks in the garage, sets the tone for a convenient alpine getaway. A nearby laundry room ensures all gear is ready for tomorrow’s adventure. Step inside the well-lit living area with clean lines, where a spacious sectional comfortably seats guests, complete with 2 armchairs for a tranquil gathering place. Talk, play games, or watch the 55” TV while being warmed by the remote-controlled gas fireplace. Continue into the dining area, a custom stone table seats 8, while the adjacent kitchen’s open layout facilitates a social atmosphere while preparing meals on the high-end Thermador appliances. A guest bedroom with a king bed and TV provides a peaceful retreat, while the luxurious primary boasts a plush king bed, private bathroom, TV, and deck access. The expansive outdoor deck features incredible Montana views with unforgettable sunrises and sunsets, which can be enjoyed from the private hot tub, 4 Adirondack chairs, or while cooking dinner on the propane grill.

Tanager House provides on-site parking for 1 vehicle in the garage, making it easy to explore Big Sky Resort (6 mins.) and Yellowstone National Park (roughly 1 hour). For ski-in/ski-out access, follow the snowshoe path by the garage to the groomed Natawista Run. From there, head to Madison Village from the ski bridge for lessons or continue to Derringer and Six Shooter Lift for full mountain access. To return, take Lazy Jack from Iron Horse or Six Shooter Lift, follow Jack to the Cinnabar and Powder River intersection, go through the tunnel, and stay on Natawista Run until the house is visible.

Our Mountain Village rentals include great variety, all minutes from this lively base area. Choose from modern cabins with stylish decor steps from the lifts, charming condos with pool access and other lodge amenities, and custom log homes on expansive wooded lots. All our Mountain Village homes lie within a five-minute drive of the slopes. Many of these vacation homes offer ski-in ski-out access.

MEADOW VILLAGE (not ski-in ski-out)

To experience Big Sky like a local, explore Meadow Village, where most year-round residents live. Our eclectic vacation rentals include elegant condos with modern decor, private cabin-style retreats on expansive grounds, and a charming bungalow with a private hot tub. Meadow Village offers easy access to shopping, dining, and events in downtown Big Sky, and skiing at Big Sky Resort, located just 15-minutes away. Bus service runs between Big Sky's city center and the resort. In the summer, Meadow Village homes offer close proximity to the Big Sky Golf Course, disc golf and community parks.
