Safari Room at the Safari Lodge

Ulusaba is Sir Richard Branson’s private game reserve in South Africa's Sabi Sand. Ulusaba has 20 rooms and suites spread over two lodges: Rock Lodge, including the beautiful Cliff Lodge, and Safari Lodge. The name Ulusaba means ‘place of little fear’, so named because the koppie, or hill, on which Rock Lodge sits provided the ancient Shangaan tribal warriors with the perfect lookout point.

Safari Lodge fits snugly under a canopy of ancient trees on the edge of a dry riverbed. Some rooms are accessed by swing bridges and have views of passing animals on their way to the watering hole.

The plush and roomy Safari Room can be found close to the main lodge, and offers flexible accommodation that connects with the Safari Suite to create a two-bedroom suite – making it ideal for family stays. The Safari room has a large and comfortable bed, seating area, desk space and en-suite, with an outdoor viewing deck accessed by sliding doors for taking advantage of the wonderful views.
