The decoration runs toward the lines of straw hats and beach bags hanging on a wall, and small plants provide pops of green on the shelves. Nothing feels unnecessary.

A hammock demarcates the subtle boundary between indoor and outdoor space and becomes a focal point of the living area. The kitchen is pretty and functional and has been outfitted with a pass-through counter with barstools, a farmhouse dining table, and a Lacanche range that’s perfect for cooking fresh fish from the local market.

Outside, you can lounge on classic sling chairs on a swing in an egg-shaped hanging chair. It looks like a cocoon, which is apt because Villa Les Palmiers as a whole feels like a family cocoon, a wonderfully secluded and private refuge from the outside world.
