Hilton La Romana All-Inclusive Adult Resort & Spa Punta Cana

Maria constanso, our buffet waitress Was so lovely and helpfull, cheerfull lady couldn't do enough for us, so entertaining making us laugh we interacted well good banter. Myself and wife plus good friends have enjoyed staying at The hilton la ramana hotel. The complex is so big including a lazy river/couple of slides perfect beach all the staff are fab can't do enough for us. definitely a place to return. The only low point was we didn't expect to eat in the family side buffet with the poor selection of food. There is a bit of work going on that didn't effect our stay

Lovely hotel, great beach, and amazing friendly staff. Food is very good but when we were here there were changes regarding restaurants, in particular the buffet which wasn't great as it was held in the family side in the conference centre. The rest of our dining experience was great. Maria Constanco in the family day buffet and breakfast was so funny and a great laugh. She looked after us here and made an effort to engage with us on ea h visit, remembering our names.

Our room was relaxing and clean- we had a swim out and having that semi private area was perfect. Our dinning service was attentive and very welcoming. Byron, the butler went made us feel special. Brought us an amazing treat and was very friendly.

Booking was made for the adult only side of the resort but after arriving you soon find out that you do not get an adult only experience that Hilton portray . These were are findings being Encave Adult Only. Good points : Room (block 1 ) was clean and comfortable throughout our stay . Bed was very comfortable with good quality bed linen & pillows . Air conditioning was very good in room . The setting is beautiful . The accommodation blocks ,gardens , pools and interior of buildings are faultless apart from some of the seating in the lobbies which have such low deep chairs & sofa"s" that look very modern but are very uncomfortable needing you to collect as many of the loose pillows to stack behind to try and find comfort with numerous guests struggling to get out of them due to their design . Ocean : ABSOLUTELY STUNNING . You cannot wish for more if you are an ocean lover like ourselves . Clear warm water, no seaweed, no plastic waste floating 😊. No sea shoes needed. THIS MADE UP FOR THE DOWNFALL OF THE REST OF THE HOLIDAY. Adult Buffett: We used this morning and lunch time and were generally happy with this setting . Food was not always that warm but we accepted this as at least there were hot cooking stations to use . Our sincere gratitude goes to Dany & Bianca who always gave us great service throughout our stay . Great members of staff for sure . The lady on the omelette station (name not known) cooked super omelette"s and had the most beautiful smile and gave fantastic service throughout our whole stay . A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ALL THREE. Bad points : Checking in at Encave Lounge was to be honest a joke . Girl just STOOD over us whilst we sat . Given a map of the hotel that was printed so small you couldn't see the numbers of the buildings on it ( mentioned by many guests not just us ) so use of was useless . She basically passed over the map and pointed out the block we had been placed in . Didn't even verbally mention what room number we had been given , when asked she replied your room number is on the card !!! . This was not a very professional start to our stay . Toilet in bathroom was ridiculously small having to squeeze in over the toilet to be able to shut the door . Beach Area : The Encave area was a great disappointment to us with mostly the sea view chairs being all under a large palapa . The whole of the area was very shaded giving lack of area to sunbath . We for this reason used the adult section of seating which gave more of a choice for sun . The sun chairs in the Encave were also awful , NOTHING SPECIAL at all and in our opinion should have been at least padded like the ones around all the swimming pools . Drinks at the bar area between adults section and family was serving "flat" cola the whole time of our 2 week stay . Their dispenser was faulty (no gas) but they carried on using it so drinks were awful . Just advised if you didn't want flat cola then to go to another bar where they may have bottled cola!!!!! We were advised by bar staff that this issue had been reported but no repair carried out !! ! Pina colada "slush "machine didn't provided "slush" at all so this drink was just very watery. The staff at the adults swim up bar were the most miserable staff that we have ever come across . No smile or politeness could win them over . This really does need to be addressed with them . Buffet Adult : Night time this was closed by the hotel . Given that the family side buffet was under construction the adult side was expected to use with the family side"s temporary "makeshift "buffet which had been located in a Conference Room with no natural light, tressle tables holding heated dishes of food that all were complaining was cold. No live cooking stations etc etc . THIS SITUATION WAS UNNEEDED for the adult guests as the adult buffet that had no construction taking place on it SHOULD have been opened for us adults . This was the most UNACCEPTABLE situation of our whole holiday . You were excepted to use the restaurants as an alternative which half of them were shut ,cutting down your choice of dining even more with half of these restaurants shared with the family side (not an adult experience for sure) . Waiting times were lengthy if you did not choose to eat early . A COMPLETE LETDOWN. Please note adult buffet had been closed by hotel for the past 4 months ( not for construction purposes) expecting adults to share with families eliminating an adult holiday experience . WHY ? Entertainment : Adult side entertainment was very limited . All shows were held on the family side yet again making you loose the idea of an adult hotel booking . Summary : First time to a Hilton Hotel stay . We will never book this hotel again . We cannot understand why there is two booking sites for this hotel when they so easily make you share so much of your holiday with the family side .Encave a total waste of money . The only thing in our opinion that is fantastic is the setting and the Ocean . If you want an adult only experience like we thought we were going to get then this is not the hotel for you . Too many excuses on the Face book group that these downfalls are blamed on it being on low season . Seems very much that low season can be all year long !!! Be warned .

Febles our Butler made this experience truly fantastic. Anything my fiancée and I needed he was more than helpful. I would hire him for anything, he clearly cares and knows how to handle any situation. The resort is stunning and the service impeccable. We are grateful to have experienced this resort for 8 days with Febles there to guide us.
