Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay

Don’t change rooms they will treat you horribly and be rude for no apparent reason. I changed rooms due to the door not closing and they gave us a dirty room with a side view and didn’t want to send someone to clean. The housekeeper however looked at the room knew it wasn’t cleaned and did great and servicing the room. She was the only person who gave a damn.

I’ll start by saying that there are many negative reviews of WO that IMHO are utter rubbish! Take no notice, get yourselves off to Jamaica and have a great time! Hotel, grounds, rooms, restaurants, bars, pools and the beach are all GREAT! Best bits: Food quality is really good. We never ate a bad meal all week! Great cocktail selection! Swim up bars good fun without being like a frat party. No gangsta rap blaring out! Beaches are beautiful! And actually properly private so very safe. No pedlars or weed sellers! Evening entertainment is of good quality! Great housekeeping! Good Wi-Fi coverage! Entertainment team are GOOD. Not pushy at all, not in your face all day, perfect! Room service menu excellent, and food arrived nice and hot. Grounds staff are amazing. The place is lovely! Barefoot Grill for patties and jerk chicken! No pressure to tip! We did, of course, but it certainly wasn’t expected, and those that didn’t still got the same level of service. No bombardment from Spa staff for treatments, or from excursion providers. This was a real plus point for us. Worst bits: Pressure sales for vouchers and club membership at check in is not enjoyable. A simple NO should be enough. No one wants to waste any of their precious holiday time trailing round and feeling obliged. Just stop it! Some of the bar staff could do with being a bit more cheerful. Beach sunbeds in non preferred areas really could do with cushions! Prices in the shop are insane. $14 for a bag of crisps/chips? $30 for sun cream! Seriously? No snacks, wine or spirits in non preferred rooms, or available through room service gratis. I would expect at least wine and snacks in 5 star. At least consider providing them free via room service. Limited selection of lunchtime dining if you are in swimwear. Happy to cover up but you can still only use the Barefoot Grill or World Cafe. No one wants to change for lunch! Why no signature restaurant? I’d have loved a seafood or steak place. Don’t get me wrong, each of the restaurants is good, but on our last night we would have loved to push the boat out and gone somewhere extra special. 4 out of 5. Pretty good. A few tweaks here and there, but generally I would highly recommend the place. We may return!

The stay at Wild Orchid Montego Bay was marvelous. The staff was very responsive to any questions or needs. The restaurants provide a variety of enjoyable foods and the environment was beautiful and relaxing. Excellent Hotel and Staff! Don't hesitate to book a stay at this resort.

We stayed at Wild Orchid for our honeymoon in Sept 2024. The grounds are immaculate and worked on daily. It was my first time at an all inclusive and I was pleasantly surprised by the food—we loved El Patio. The clear water at the beaches if what you come for, but a butler like Duran is who you keep coming back for. We had preferred service and he was our primary butler, who handled everything for us and our stay was made all the better for it.

This was the worst experience I’ve had on a trip. The room was old and dated, the resort was boring and entertainment was nonexistent! The food was bland and disappointing! I expected more!
