Las Casitas is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Colca Canyon. From the moment we arrived, it became clear that this beautiful property would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The breathtaking location, nestled within the stunning canyon landscape, is matched only by the warmth and excellence of the staff. Their exceptional service truly made us feel at home (if home was a luxurious five star hotel!), with every staff member greeting us by name and going above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. It’s the little details that elevate this hotel above a typical five-star resort—like the adorable llama-shaped hot water bottles placed in our beds at night, and the immaculately maintained property, where every corner is thoughtfully curated to perfection. The activities offered here are equally exceptional—horseback riding through Colca Canyon was one of the most memorable experiences, and the hotel arranges trips to see the Condors, with fantastic local guides who make everything seamless. We were originally only planning to stay for two nights, but Las Casitas was so magical that we decided to cancel our trip to Arequipa and extend our stay. This hotel became the highlight of our mother-daughter trip, with a safe, luxurious and welcoming atmosphere. It’s clear that the culture of genuine care and attention comes directly from Tilak, the manager. His kindness, attentiveness, and impeccable management are what make this place feel so special. He lives on-site and oversees everything with such grace, ensuring every guest has the most extraordinary experience. His passion for the resort and his commitment to excellence are clear, and they flow through to the staff, who evidence incredible pride and teamwork in all they do. The entire staff at the resort is incredible. A few special shoutouts to those who made our stay unforgettable: • Americo gave us the warmest welcome and tour of the property, and expertly coordinated all our activities—from horseback riding to transfers for our arrival and departure. • Allheli in the spa gave us the best massages we’ve ever had. Not only did she provide exceptional service, but went above and beyond, sharing local traditions with us from her hometown near the hotel and even making homemade aloe when we got sunburned, showing us just how deeply she cares for her guests. • Naisha, Elizabeth, David, and Alejandro in the dining room greeted us with genuine warmth and kindness every time, making each meal a truly delightful experience (as well as the wonderful food) • Filipe, our driver, went above and beyond to help us spot many Condors when we visited Cruz de Condor—he made sure we didn’t miss a moment of this incredible experience • Elmer took us on a beautiful horseback ride through the Canyon. His warmth and expertise made the experience truly wonderful. This stay at Las Casitas has truly made us fall in love with Belmond, and we cannot wait to return.

Having a ‘little house’ (casitas) to stay in was amazing. This ‘little house’ was bigger than the first house we owned when first married! The bathroom had 2 sinks and 2 showers (one indoor and one outdoor). The king-size bed was larger than most. Our private hot tub outside was very well used, but did not have jets. Laundry service was fast and efficient. The staff went above and beyond to serve you - whether in the restaurant, escorting you to your room or telling stories about the area.

We loved Peru and Belmond made everything wonderful and seamless. We will definitely go on other Belmond trips.

Las Casitas Belmond hotel is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at. The casitas are extremely comfortable, they all have a hot tub with views of the valley. The hotel also offers several experiences to get the most out of your time in Colca. The staff is amazing, kind, incredibly helpful and super welcoming. If you are looking for a relaxing and over the top experience in Peru I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
