Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve

I am writing a review for the first time ever for any hotel, and that says a lot about how exceptional Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Krabi, truly is. This resort exceeded every expectation and gave us an unforgettable experience that I feel compelled to share. First and foremost, I have to talk about Habib, our butler, who was the absolute highlight of our stay. He is truly a gem of a person—kind, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel so special, handling everything with such care and thoughtfulness. He anticipated our needs before we even realized them ourselves, and his genuine warmth left a lasting impression on our family. I can’t praise Habib enough—he is a major reason this resort stands out. Chaiwat, the front office manager, was also fantastic. He upgraded us to the best villa, which was beyond our imagination. He even went the extra mile to ensure small details were taken care of, like protecting our infant from mosquito bites. His thoughtfulness and dedication truly made us feel at home. Javid, the rooms director, was another shining example of the resort's incredible service. He personally came to check on me when I had a minor stone cut on my toe, showing genuine care and concern. This kind of personalized attention is rare and made us feel so valued. The entire team was incredibly warm and welcoming, making every moment special. The resort itself is breathtaking—like stepping into another world. Surrounded by nature, it offers an unmatched level of peace and beauty. The villa was luxurious, and every corner of the property felt thoughtfully designed to create a serene and magical atmosphere. The food was outstanding, with a wide variety of cuisines that catered to every palate. Every meal was a delight, and the quality was consistently excellent. Phulay Bay is truly in a league of its own. From the exceptional service to the stunning property and delicious food, everything about this resort is perfection. A huge thank you to Habib, Chaiwat, Javid, and the rest of the team for making our stay unforgettable. If you’re looking for a place that offers luxury, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality, this is it!

6 days and nights of absolute paradise. It is a difficult experience to put into words. We went for a 10 yr anniversary, stayed in a Royal Villa and had a superstar butler, Khun Habib, who made it an unforgettable vacation. We also spent a day at their spa, which is as good as any spa on the planet, and their restaurants on site were fantastic. To be clear, the resort is absolute perfection, but what makes Phulay Bay a truly exceptional global destination is their team. The harmony of hospitality is unmatched, and the care they show for each of their visitors is extraordinary. If we lived closer it would be an annual visit. Congratulations to them for truly understanding the Ritz Carlton motto. (Pro tip to always remember at this caliber of resort: if you have a hiccup or request, let them know and they will respond as best as possible. Don’t let something fester, just communicate and you will be amazed). Thank you, Phulay Bay.

This exquisite hotel was one of our favorite stays in a life of traveling all over the world! The grounds are exquisite, and our private villa and pool were magnificent. Each villa is assigned, a butler, and our butler, Habib, could not have been more attentive or caring. He was always there for us, quietly in the background, exactly when we needed him and was never nearby when we didn’t. He made all of our dinner reservations and said, bubble baths for us and made all kinds of other arrangements for our activities. I am assuming that all of the butlers are equally professional and caring but if you are going to stay at the Ritz Carlton reserve at Pooley Bay, I would urge you to request Habib as your butler.The food is exquisite, and the staff in general are all first class.

I can honestly say this is the most beautiful property we've ever been to. The views are stunning, the villas have exceptional features. The beds are huge and incredibly comfortable. Our butler Sun did an incredible job, he was a friendly personality and somehow made every aspect of our visit more pleasant. I've traveled many places and stayed at many properties, this one is hands down the most beautiful, both the public and private spaces at this resort stand out. The majestic beauty of the islands in the distance serve as an incredible backdrop to the infinity pool. This pool is never crowded because many rooms have private pools. While this isn't the newest RC Reserve there are only few signs of the age, it is kept up at an impressive level. Our villa had a plunge poll as well as 2 soaking tubs-these soaking tubs were practically plunge pools-one indoor, 1 outdoor. We had a view over to the ocean and the villa was Massive. This was offered as a complimentary upgrade. The food on site is great from the seafood restaurant to the thai one as well as breakfast(Complimentary). Also the cost was relatively reasonable compared with other RC/Marriott resorts. The spa was beautiful and very reasonable coming from the North American Spa Market. This resort is 20 minutes from a town where one can experience nightlife and local culture if they are looking for more to do. Management is present at this resort and it shows in the quality. At multiple points during our stay the GM asked if they could do anything to improve our experience. This level of dedication shows throughout the staff. This service included phoning our next resort and informing them of our preferences so they could properly prepare for our arrival. I hope we are able to return to this property someday. Can't say enough positive things about Sun or Phulay Bay and its staff. PS-take the free excursion to Hong Island, while it can be crowded on Hong Island the place is beautiful and it adds to understand how special the RC experience is.

If I could give this hotel 50 stars I would. Top notch service. Resort is spectacular and Habibi made our stay incredibly warm and welcoming. Would love to return here someday. They anticipate your every need and make sure you feel special. The GM makes sure to introduce himself and engage in conversation. Excellent all around.
