Banyan Tree Phuket

I have visited the Banyan Tree Gift Shop several times in the past and have always enjoyed the unique items they offer, many of which make excellent gifts. However, during my most recent visit, I was disappointed by the significant price increase on a product I’ve purchased year after year. In previous years, I paid around $75 for the larger candles in ceramic jars, but this year, the price had jumped to $117 each. This dramatic increase felt excessive, especially since these same candles can be found online or in shops in Bangkok for less than half the price. To add to the frustration, my experience with the sales staff was underwhelming. After spending $400, I expected better customer service, but the salesperson was curt and seemed annoyed, which left me feeling unappreciated as a customer. While the shop still offers beautiful and high-quality products, these factors left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. If you're considering purchasing these candles or other items, I recommend exploring alternative options to ensure better value and, perhaps, a more pleasant shopping experience.

We are staying here at the moment. Hotel grounds are lovely, we love the pool area with the lazy river. The resort is peaceful. Staff on the lobby are great and so is our room attendant. However there are a few things that are not up to the standards we are used to when staying at other 5* hotels in Thailand. Our patio doors are broken so do not lock, which means they can be easily slid open to the pool area. This is concerning when staying with our two year old son that cannot swim. We are of course keeping an eye on him at all times, but I would’ve hoped to relax more in the room. The F&B at a hotel is a hugely important factor in our holidays. In Saffron, service was slow. Our water glasses weren’t filled when empty, but the ice bucket containing our water was placed away from our table so we were having to stand up and walk over to it in order to serve ourselves water which went unnoticed by the staff. However the service at the pool is particularly poor, we’ve been here since 9am, it’s 12pm, and we’ve been offered one glass of water, with nobody approaching us for drink / food orders during that time - we’re on day 3 and unfortunately this is a regular occurrence but today is particularly poor. We have to clear our own glasses / plates after eating otherwise nobody removes them, for example yesterday they were left for 40 minutes so attracted lots of flies. Yesterday we waited over 20 minutes for two drinks before querying where they were only to find our order had been forgotten. The pool menu is also very western. We are having a nice holiday, but safety for my child, F&B food quality / service is hugely important to us so we wouldn’t stay here again.

Kik and Guitar was very good! Enjoyed the massage a lot and she’s very considerate and polite. Good massage. I did facial and massage in a package. Very gentle and relaxing with the music and great environment! Definitely recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a great experience

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are incredible. So friendly and always smiling. The amenities are also amazing - huge pool, wide selection of restaurants and cuisines and the setting of the lagoon is awesome. There is even direct beach access! We also played a round of golf, where you are accompanied by caddies, who like so many others, are incredibly friendly and helpful. The course itself is also beautiful. The spa is also great. Very talented therapists and the products they use are very high quality! We had Tino take care of us for most of our stay. Not only was his English perfect, but he also always helped us with plans, reservations and did his best to make our stay nothing short of amazing. Same goes for Monica, who helped us on the two days that Tino was off. In general, this was one of the best vacations we’ve been on and we are already trying everything to be able to come back. everyone- this place was AMAZING! They have everything you need on the grounds and also so close to other attractions, restaurants/bars/beaches.
