The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra

The property is gorgeous and perfectly located to enjoy the Taj with every glance. But most importantly the staff cares for their visitors and makes everyone feel that they are there to serve their every need. My 4th floor room was a perfect way to be introduced to the most beautiful building in the world.

Our stay at The Oberoi Amarvilas was nothing short of exceptional. The food was absolutely delightful — each meal felt like a culinary experience, with attention to detail and flavor that truly stood out. The hospitality was world-class; every staff member went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. From the warm welcome to the personalized service, it felt truly luxurious. That said, the pricing is definitely on the higher side. While the experience does justify a premium, it may feel a bit steep for some travelers. We also had the pleasure of touring the Taj Mahal with our guide, Muzammil, who made the visit even more special. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and full of fascinating stories and historical insights. His passion for Agra’s heritage really added depth to our experience and helped us appreciate the monument even more. Highly recommend.

Amazing hotel and great tour with Sandeep. We had a great time exploring the Taj Mahal and were shown all the best places to take photos from. The electric car buggies were fantastic and the hotel made our stay very easy and enjoyable. If I were to change one thing, I would employ a Falconer to scare the pigeons away from the hotel grounds during meal times.

We thorougly enjoyed our stay at the Oberoi in Agra. A beautiful property with luxuriously appointed suites, wonderfully attentive staff, amazing food, a stunning pool and gardens. The perfect base to explore the Taj Mahal and other architectural marvels in the region.

My stay at The Oberoi Amarvilas was nothing short of memorable, and the biggest highlight was undoubtedly its proximity to the majestic Taj Mahal. Waking up to that breathtaking view right from my room was truly the cherry on top. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, exuding a royal charm that instantly transports you to a different era. The food was exceptional—I genuinely loved every meal. The overall service lived up to the Oberoi standards I’ve come to admire. However, I did experience a service glitch during lunch at Bellevue. That said, I truly appreciate how the team handled it. Dinner at Esphahan later that evening was a wonderful experience and helped close the day on a high note. Overall, thank you for the memorable experience, and I look forward to seeing Oberoi continue to set benchmarks in Indian hospitality
