Villa Gallici

Property is beautiful; food is great, but service is not up to the same standard you would receive at any other 5 star hotel. We received an email 4 or 5 days prior to booking saying the spa in our room would not be working. They offered another room instead that has a spa but not the garden in our room. We had specifically booked based on this room having the garden and spa. The rooms without a spa are half the price. We chose to stay in the room for lack of other options. We did not even get an apology, or any offer of compensation or redress. In any other 5 star hotel they would never have let something like that happen.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Villa Gallici. From the moment the gates swung open, we knew we were somewhere special. We were greeted by a gentleman who took our bags from the taxi, and invited to sit down in the reception room. Hot towels were offered as were beverages and house-made sweet treats. The woman at the desk asked if I preferred to speak in French or English, and I told her that I'm still learning French and would appreciate the opportunity to use the language. They were so gracious and accommodating as I did my best to communicate. We were given a tour of the property, then shown to our suite. They had upgraded us, which was deeply appreciated. Dinner in the restaurant that evening was an event; haute cuisine served in a dining room that felt like someone's (exquisite) home. This is a hotel that knows itself. It understands its brand and what it needs to deliver to maintain its reputation, and it did not disappoint. Treat yourself next time you're in Aix. It's been quite a while since we felt so cared for. Thanks to the entire team for making our anniversary so special.

Such an incredible experience from top to bottom. The property and our room were both stunning. The staff is so kind and does everything possible to elevate the guest experience. A remarkable hotel in every way.

We travelled here for three nights. There aren’t enough accolades to describe our experience here. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel!!! We were greeted warmly by the wonderful staff and made to feel at home instantly. The room was beautifully appointed and had a terrace with a garden view. It was very comfortable and extremely clean. We had access to the gorgeous spa and enjoyed the jacuzzi, outdoor heated pool and sauna. The grounds were breathtakingly beautiful, with fresh roses, gardens and sculptures everywhere. The concierge, Mateo, was super helpful and made reservations for us at 2 lovely restaurants that had excellent food and service. The hotel is conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from the edge of town. Can’t say enough good things about our stay. It was fantastic.

Wonderful hotel at a walking distance from the center of Aix. All needs are carefully met and often exceeded. Service, especially the concierge Matteo, was exceptional.
