Austin Proper Hotel

Austin Proper is one of my favorite all time hotels. We are repeat customers. From the moment you are greeted at your car, to the end of your stay, they treat you with the utmost care. Actually, the hospitality began before that. We needed some accommodations for a disabled family member, and we were contacted soon after our booking with assistance. Shout out Julie! Everyone is so incredibly helpful and kind, so I’d have a lengthy review trying to call out everyone. On this visit, we were just seeking relaxation. From the bar options, to the restaurants/room service, to the spa, everything is world class. We spent more time hanging out around the hotel than out and about in Austin. It’s a given that the accommodations are top notch. It’s a beautiful property. But the little things really stand out. 1. We forgot a couple of items, and the front desk offered them to us from their stash which saved us a trip to Target. 2. They have assistive devices at the spa to make sure everyone can enjoy their experience. 3. Each single person made us feel welcomed. And not in a fake way, but in a genuine manner. I could go on, but I’ll just end this with I highly, highly recommend Austin Proper.

Conveniently located to Austin’s great entertainment and dining options. Great on site dining and gathering options. Staff is engaging, professional and friendly. Rooms are up to date with many small touches such as controlled lighting, black out window coverings and ample shower.

My stay has been amazing thus far. Started my day off at the Verbena gym then breakfast at Peacock. Laurel and Emma were both attentive and amazing. I felt like I was at home. Looking forward to my facial with Hope later this afternoon and drinks in the Quill Room.

This property is obsessed with guest experience (in a good way!) and has the amenities to support that objective. Flawless decor, customer service, and food/beverage offerings compliment a truly unique immersive experience. Situated within walking distance of many shops and restaurants, this hotel stands out as something really special. Quiet rooms, comfortable beds, motorized shades, and an onsite spa contribute to a wonderful guest experience. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel good location but no more on the health and wellness surcharge… they have that on everywhere and it’s to help pay for their employees health insurance.. which of course THEY should pay for.. ask for it to be taken off.. the massages are great btw but my massage therapist was cold as ice and she finished 10 minutes early.. bummer when you are paying $330 for a 90 minute massage!
