About the Hotel
Surrounded by nothing but turquoise lagoon which melts into sapphire blue, the Maldives luxury resort island of Anantara Kihavah and its pure white sands rise up out of the ocean like a mirage. For centuries, this was where Arab traders sailing to the Far East took shelter; a lush paradise blessed by coconut, papaya and mango trees. Navigating archipelago to archipelago by the stars, the seafarers were also drawn by the riches of the ocean surrounding the island – where a prehistoric volcano sank back into the depths, leaving blooming corals within a house reef and a wealth of lagoon fish. Wishing to keep the pristine nature of the island intact, not one tree has been moved – as evidenced by the villas growing up around them. The design pays homage to the seafarers of old, fusing Indian Ocean, Arab and Portuguese motifs with indigenous materials. Top notch hospitality and stay!
We had the most wonderful stay in easily one of the best resorts in The Maldives. It was a paradise on earth with the in-house reefs being so accessible on the island and an immaculate over water pool villa with the most lovely of sunsets, surrounded by a blanket of glistening stars and a myriad of fishes just by the deck! Victor, Mark, Chef Joakim and Chef Alex were very kind to us. Special mention to our villa host - Ismail for organising all the little gritty details for us, Aboo and Yusof who always attended to us when we are out eating at the restaurants. We felt extremely welcome by the chefs at Spice - Chef Ramadhan, Chef Noon, Chef Jithin and the Indian chefs who make sure we are always well taken care of and fed. One could feel how genuinely they care about the food and guests. Thank you for the hospitality and amazing experience!

Absolute Heaven on Earth!!
World class everything!! Food, accommodations, views, service, amenities, activities. You literally CAN NOT go wrong! We stayed in the over-the-water villas and I did not want to leave the room at all! The only thing I WILL caution is that this is not a "for everyone" destination. Someone who cannot sit down and enjoy beauty will ruin this trip. Leave them home. This destination is worth EVERY penny but be careful who you share it with!

A true five star experience!
From start to finish the experience was magical - the hotel has truly thought of everything to make you feel welcome, comfortable, spoilt and relaxed. The food is incredible, the amenities are extensive and the service is impeccable. A huge thank you to Piyal for looking after our family so well - he was professional, extremely helpful and welcoming! We hope to come back one day!

Unique staff friendliness experience
Despite I had two bad experiences one regarding non functioning AC for three days till they move me out and departure bad moment of nearly missing my flight I will vote for this resort because of their staff. Atmosphere and Vibes. The food you die for it.

Amazing resort with even better service
This was our first time in the Maldives and anantara kihavah did not disappoint! This was the best resort we’ve ever been to. The accommodations were beautiful and the service fantastic. Special shout out to jambe, aboo, attey, amel and mark. 10/10
