Wonderful hotel! Beautiful inside and out, excellent service and very comfortable. Spa was nice too with a good massage. The breakfast was very good. Worth the splurge to say in the gorgeous and historic Royal Crescent. A very memorable stay!

My husband and I came for afternoon tea at the Royal Crescent Hotel Bath on March 15th. We had previously visited for our civil ceremony lunch, which was a wonderful experience. It left us with such positive memories that we decided to return and use a wedding gift voucher for afternoon tea. Unfortunately, our experience this time was drastically different and left us highly dissatisfied. Upon arrival, we were seated in a dark corner of the room and, unfortunately, ignored by the staff. We had to repeatedly ask for basic items, like milk for our tea, which was incredibly frustrating. Despite there being plenty of staff present, it was evident that there was no clear management of the service, as we were left waiting far too long. The service was extremely slow, and sadly, due to the delays, we didn’t have the chance to raise our concerns while still at the venue. To make matters worse, when we requested the bill, it never arrived. After asking again, we still didn’t receive it, which made us feel completely ignored. Given the wonderful experience we had during our visit last year, we were genuinely shocked and upset by the poor service this time. It wasn’t a matter of being understaffed, but rather a lack of attention and basic customer service from your team. Far from a 5 star experience.

Arriving here is like going back in time. The building is so beautiful. We were welcomed by friendly staff who checked us in while we were sitting in a stunning, beautifully furninshed room with a coal fire. We were then given a tour of all the facilities and shown to our spacious, warm and well equipped room. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. An amazing hotel in a lovely city.

The Royal Crescent is one of those special places that you feel privileged to have visited. From check-in to check-out and everything in between my entire stay was really rather perfect. I was there as part of a luxury retreat where most meals were included so I dined on-site regularly and each of my meals was wonderful. The staff could not have been friendlier and more accommodating. I truly hated to leave.
