Relaxing and taken care of

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 17 hours ago

Beautiful hotel with very caring and attentive staff. A five star experience for our mini-moon. The location and historic building is likely unmatched in England. Great attention to detail by the hotel in terms of providing all the little extras - guest names on doors, fresh squeezed orange juice, goodie bags, in-room comfort. It is not cheap but they don’t cut corners as a result, so worth every penny. The priority of this hotel is guest satisfaction above all else.

Excellent experience all around, you cannot go wrong by booking this historic hotel in the historic City of Bath. Great breakfast, even better dinner experience, amazing Spa facilities and genuinely kind and helpful staff. Highly recommend staying here when in Bath.

Not great

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We checked into the Royal Crescent Hotel which we booked through a travel agent along with some friends. We paid for an upgraded room and yet we were given a classic room in my opinion. The couple that we were traveling received a beautiful luxurious room, and ours was anything but plain and simple? It was clean but definitely not what I paid for. When questioning the hotel, I was told that they could not accommodate me due to them being booked. Within the next hour or so, I did receive a call from the manager after writing a review and told that I did indeed have what I paid for and that they could show me another room if I’d like. I declined at this point due to being so irritated. I only have two nights here and I’ll survive but definitely want to warn others.

Exceptional

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We had 3 wonderful nights at RCH earlier this month the hotel is simply amazing. The service, quality of accommodation, cleanliness and facilities are second to none. Our room (55) was in the building adjacent to the Spa and it was very quiet. There was no view to speak of, but for the entry level room it was exceptional (see photos). And you have the gardens between the two buildings to enjoy- very tranquil for a cocktail, coffee or afternoon tea - we didn’t need the view. Breakfast was excellent, buffet style continental options with cooked options to order from the menu. A good variety and great quality. We ate at Montagu’s Mews one evening and enjoyed an excellent 3 courses, couldn’t fault the quality of the food or the service. Used the spa which is smaller than it looks in the photos, but has everything you would need. Went around 7 pm so it was quiet, very clean and well kept. If you are planning a trip to Bath, the hotel is well placed with all the main attractions being around 10/15 minutes walk. The concierge service is wonderful and will provide great suggestions for eating and sightseeing. We looked at a number of hotels before we settled on RCH, it just has everything you need with exceptional quality including parking. Special mentions to Dhilllon and Martin on concierge offering a warm welcome and great advice on restaurants, to Remmy who explained the hotel facilities and took us to our room and Gergo who waited on us at dinner impeccably. This is an exceptional place, the building alone is fascinating and then there is the quality of service, accommodation and food - treat yourself you won’t regret it.
