The minute you walk into this hotel the staff makes you feel at home and Sherley at the front desk makes sure of that. She is courteous, extremely professional and very pleasant it deal with. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and when she found out she gave us access to our room immediately upon checking in, even though it was early. The Hotel location is perfect and at a walking distance to many great restaurants and point of interest. The rooms are very modern, very spacious but above all extremely clean. There is complementary wine at 4:00pm to welcome you and that’s when we met Nate at the front desk who is very pleasant, professional and made sure we were taken care of. The hotel has a restaurant on the second floor and the food and service is excellent! Ana graciously made sure we were served our breakfast despite of our arrival almost at 11:00 am closing time. There is a bar in the lobby that serves great cocktails, perfect for a nightcap. What a great experience was this stay at this hotel. It was the first of many more for sure.

This hotel was under major renovation and for $750 a night there was no lobby (blocked off) and only 1 elevator in service. The desk clerks were overwhelmed with complaints and we got out of there the next day and moved to another hotel. It was a total rip-off. $750 !!

Recently stayed here for a night out in the city with my husband for my birthday. The valet was nice upon arrival. Upon check in the staff was very quiet. No acknowledgement of my birthday during our whole stay. Which isn’t the biggest deal, but seeing other reviews at least a mention would have been nice. We were given 2 waters at check in and appointment to a room on the 15th floor. The hotel is very nice, modern. Our room had a great view. The bed was a bit hard. The bathroom towels were not soft. The bed pillows a bit small considering the headboard was a textured wood that hurt your head to lean on so more than 2 small pillows each would have been nice. They also do a wine happy hour which was a nice touch. Location was great as well. Overall our stay was not perfect, but we still had fun and would stay here again.

I recently had an appalling experience at Hotel AKA Boston Common due to the behavior of the front office manager, Calvin Napoleone Cherry. I was attempting to pay for a room for my guest, and Calvin not only argued with me about the need to sign a credit card authorization for a room already charged to my American Express card, but he also charged my guest's card in addition to mine. When I questioned this double charge, Calvin dismissively said, "I am not going to talk to you." His attitude was shockingly unprofessional and disrespectful. As someone who has traveled extensively around the world, I can confidently say he is one of the most unprofessional front office managers I have ever encountered. Calvin’s behavior reflects poorly on the AKA brand, which I had expected to uphold high standards of customer service. His lack of basic courtesy and professionalism, combined with his argumentative nature, makes him a very poor representative of the hotel. I strongly recommend that Calvin seek training in customer service—or perhaps even professional help if personal issues are affecting his work performance. I hope the management of Hotel AKA Boston Common addresses this issue promptly to ensure future guests do not endure such a disappointing experience
