Customer Service goes a long way.
The hotel decor and lobby area was beautiful and Front door gentleman had great service. The hotel experience from when we got there until we left really lacked in many ways. Our room was never cleaned, we were never brought second robe, bottle waters were not given to Marriott members. The waiter at Scampo was rude and short, but good was very good. This hotel caters more towards the club atmosphere versus the guest. Both nights had the floors rented out for private parties. There was no place to sit with friends and converse and no concierge lounge. The location was great, and easy to walk to all the amenities of Boston. I just expected more from a luxury hotel.

Inconsistent - The Design and Restaurants Saved the Day
Pros: The Scampo restaurant's cuisine is world class- service exemplary. Pablo was an experienced, patient, kind and very personable server- pretty nigh perfect! The valet parking was seamless and courteous as was the Front Desk and Concierge. The restaurants and the ambience were superb. With all the night life and clanging of doors, I expected to be awake all night, but the room was very quiet. Cons: Huge downer was the housekeeping. Our sink did not drain and threw up a gross black sediment, so we had to call for someone to service it. Shouldn't that have been noticed? No bathroom tissue - luckily, we noticed it before we were desperate. Sorry, but attention to detail is expected in a hotel of this quality - sorely lacking here.

Wonderful hospitality
The Liberty is located in an excellent location near the water with access to the public transit right in front. My friend and I enjoyed shopping and eating up and down the adjacent Beacon Street. Mirko, the concierge at The Liberty, was extremely helpful with our restaurant/ bar selections, and helped us plan out our vacation activities in each area of the city. His knowledge of Boston combined with his extreme hospitality were very appreciated at this unique hotel. Book your trip at The Liberty and ask for Mirko's assistance.

Five diamond Concierge, Mirko
This review is to give a shout out to Mirko, one of the Concierge at The Liberty. I recently began booking my boss there when his hotel of choice (closer to the office), was sold out. Mirko has been extremely attentive, personally blocks his room, arranges car service if needed and most recently was able to get him a last-minute badly needed early check-in (even the big boss needs some extra shut-eye). I left Mirko a message and then just in case he was not working that day, I called the Front Desk to ask, but Mirko was already on top of the request. Well done!
