Sofitel Buenos Aires Recoleta

Hotel is fine, but huge standout is restaurant Alma - we ate the same classic steak / frites / grilled veg dinner 3 nights in 3 different restaurants within walking distance of hotel, and hands down Alma was the best! Shout out to Camila and Ekaterina for service too.

We spent a night here after landing from the US at 7pm. We had connecting rooms which worked well for our family and they were fairly spacious. The cheese board and wine they left us were a very nice touch and welcome when we arrived hungry. They also arranged for us to eat at a very nice restaurant down the street. The location was great for the morning with a luxury mall across the street that included a Starbucks and gourmet food hall. Would happily stay here for longer next time. Only possible complaint is the elevator doors close so quickly that our family got separated twice!

The lobby is beautiful the service was good but the rooms were not good at all. The TV didn’t work and overall they were really really small. The location is very good and central. We were there for just one night because we had a flight to catch but I would not go back because of the rooms.

The staff was AMAZING, especially Camila and Ekaterina in their restaurant, which had great food. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The beds were wonderful (long enough for my 6’4”) and the lobby was very modern. The hotel is in a very nice part of the city with the Recoleta Cemetery and it’s incredible monuments an easy 10 minute walk away.

A surprise stay at the Sofitel Buenos Aires due to flight cancellation of our return flight after2weeks in Argentina. We needed a 48 hour stay and Sofitel kindly had rooms available. We stayed at Park Hyatt down the street upon arrival. Sofitel is a 5 star as well. Exceptional food ranking best of entire trip. Stayed at Eolo and Llao Llao. Best food here with most attentive service from Camila and Ekaterina. Will return next year for sure!
