The Cape, a Thompson Hotel, is redefining the coastline of Los Cabos. Open in June 2015, there’s no trace of the traditional Mexican beach resort. Sleek architectural lines eschew Spanish tile, and the rooftop bar channels New York City with a tropical vibe. The hotel is still distinctly Mexico – ceramicist José Noé Suro contributed contemporary art pieces, and hand-painted tile appears throughout the property. Arrive to a room dressed in bespoke Latin American furniture and accessorized with special touches – there’s a tequila welcome gift and a set of binoculars for spying on whales, which frequent the waters surrounding the Baja Peninsula.

Amazing hotel with stunning views and impeccable service. Celebrating my BD I was given a stay at the Cape for 3 nights. From arrival to departure the staff made our stay perfect. the front desk staff answered our questions and provided a seamless check in. Dinner at Manta was to be remembered. Try the ceviche and the bean humus you wont regret it. Pricey but worth it. We spent our last day between the infinity pool and the salt water pool and could enjoy the display of the whales in the distance. upon leaving i was asked how my birthday was. she remembered… thank Brandon, Reyna, Alfredo and Johana. Always welcoming with a quick smile and inquiring of our stay. Come to the cape, you will not regret it…

Beautiful place!!! top knotch, everything is perfect, BUT,,, Lock up your items in your room, house keeping went through my stuff every day but nothing taken. Prices of food and drinks are out the roof expensive, but the town isnt far away to get affordable food. But over all a beautiful place and great breakfast service.

Always an absolutely amazing time at the Cape! We come several times a year and it just amazes me how they're able to maintain the level of service and facilities that they do. Special shout to Juanita in the spa for an incredible massage! as well as Luis, Hugo, and Fernanda at the pool for helping make the pool our 2nd home!

What a trip! The Cape is a phenomenal experience with great views, a couple of stellar restaurants, and just about the nicest people on the planet working there. Raul and Luis were so attentive and kind at the pool side, and gave us exactly what we wanted, often before we even knew we wanted it! We even saw Hump Back whales breaching from the poolside bar. A lovely experience had by all!

Such a great time with myself & my girlfriend for drinks and dancing. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between cozy and sophisticated. The lighting was warm, the decor thoughtfully curated, and the staff greeted me with genuine enthusiasm. The service throughout the evening was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and offered excellent recommendations without being intrusive. Friendly staff, Xchelt was especially helpful. The views were amazing and drinks so delicious. I can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay. The hotel is beautiful. Highlights include location, natural beauty, amazing balconies, and layout, staff was hard-working, attentive, friendly, and accommodating.
The rooftop is spectacular. The sunsets and views were incredible. Food and drinks were overpriced but good. The beach was not swimmable which is a negative, but clean, private and gorgeous. Fun to watch surfers. They could use some board games, deck of cards, or even a fancy chess board to add to the super fun pool table. Well-positioned elevators, etc. Really well-designed hotel. They've thought of everything. Beautiful gardens and natural surroundings are immaculately kept. Other guests were respectful, pleasant, polite and friendly.
While the concierge is in contact by text and email, they were not entirely helpful. They were unable to help us with dinner reservations. We ended up doing it all ourselves with ease. It seemed as if they were trying to keep us at the hotel for all meals. We were there for a week and had rented a car. Our plan was to explore and eat elsewhere for a few meals. However, I did not sit down and speak with the concierge face to face, so perhaps this would have made a difference.
We were at the hotel on New Year's Eve and they had a rooftop party. Our room was on the 3rd floor but still impacted by the sound and vibration of the base and music. I spoke with the manager and they satisfactorily resolved it. The New Year's eve rooftop party would have been incredible, so my feedback would be to let guests know about the potential for noise before they book - much like what a hotel would do if there was construction. They also brought earplugs to my room immediately after my call to the front desk and they helped immensely.
One other thing that I couldn't understand - no tea or coffee in the rooms! This would have made a huge difference to me.
Our experience with Luxury Link was a 10/10.
