I recently stayed at Hotel Barrière Le Gray d'Albion when I was in Cannes for a business conference. It just so happened to be my birthday when I arrived. Pascal, the duty manager, surprised me with a lovely bottle of wine and a delicious loaf of their homemade banana bread in my room along with a lovely note The staff was so friendly during my stay and always so helpful. The location is convenient, situated right in the center of Cannes. I recommend this hotel if you're planning to come to Cannes.

The location is truly excellent, making everything so convenient, and the staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. I’d like to extend a special thanks to Amira in the restaurant; she was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always served with a warm smile, making my experience even better. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my stay and very grateful to all the staff who contributed to a memorable experience. Thank you!

Everybody from reception, concierge to breakfast lounge! Rayan from Reception and Amira from La terrasse dubai Gray were super welcoming, attentive and great to deal with. The entire team actually was simply awesome. It was an enjoyable and smooth stay with easy access to everything.

The hotel is generally very elegant and the lobby looks very well maintained. The reception staff is very friendly and the concierge was very helpful. The only thing that was quite unfriendly and unhelpful to me were the two ladies on the beach at the reception. The rooms are pretty worn out, a lot of the furniture is broken and needs urgent renovation, and some of the chairs on the balcony have lost their threads on the seat cushions. There is mold around the bathtub in the bathroom. Overall, it is too expensive due to these defects, especially since the rooms on the "Rue des Serbes" do not have insulated windows, and you cannot sleep there without ear protection.

Despite the start of our checkin where we arrived at 4pm and were told our room was not ready and we were really furious as already half the day had gone and we purposely arrived late to the hotel to be there on time for the standard hotel checkin time (which is 4pm by the way and is really already late) but were told our room is not ready. After really showing our disappointment the front staff sorted it out and managed to give us the prestige room which is on the higher floors and has a nice city view so it made up for that odd start that we were really not happy about. What we liked about the hotel was the room, the sleep quality was great very sound proofed rooms (there were concerts taking place on the croisette the weekend we were there and we would not hear a thing from our room), the breakfast was lovely, and the location was really top with us being in the middle between Rue D'antibes where all the shopping is and the croisette and the beach front. We walked everywhere - even to the old town which is like a 15 min walk and to the port to catch the boat to st tropez. Another disappointing factor to note was that we booked on booking.com and got charged two payments from booking.com and 1 from the hotel which made us end up paying 50% more and we are now writing to the hotel to get the refund. We would have expected better management from the hotel on the payment and not over charge us if payment has been done already via booking.com. Even though the checkin time is too late and needs amendment and the charge issue we are working on sorting out, i would recommend this hotel and would stay here again for the positives i mentioned.
