About the Hotel
Built as a private villa on the Italian island of Capri, Punta Tragara has played a pivotal role in American and European history. During World War II it served as the American Command headquarters hosting such famous dignitaries as General Eisenhower and Sir Winston Churchill. In 1968 it was transformed into an elegant hotel by Count Manfredi. With just 42 rooms and suites, you will feel more like the guest of a gracious host.
