Best Hotel I've Experienced
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Amazing location, staff, and amenities. The rooms are stunning and classic, and the entire property is beautifully designed. The food at the various restaurants is exquisite. Sunday brunch in particular was fantastic. The staff, from the front desk to the cleaning team members, were all incredibly kind and wonderful.

Undoubtedly Charleston’s Best
First class, elegant hotel. Best hotel in Charleston without question. Outstanding friendly staff. Ate ate 3 of the restaurants in the hotel and food was outstanding. Charleston Grill for dinner is timeless fine dining at its best. My family will be returning guests for the foreseeable future

Luxury Visit to Charleston
This was our first stay at The Charleston Place, but we have visited Charleston multiple times in the past. The property is very centrally located near many wonderful restaurants and shops in downtown Charleston. It is also RIGHT ON King Street, which is a wonder place to stroll and the location of Second Sundays, which is a WONDERFUL street fair hosted every Second Sunday. Highly recommended if you can attend, it’s a lot of fun!

Really lovely hotel with exceptional staff
Lovely hotel and nice big rooms with a VERY comfortable bed. The Thoroughbed bar is really terrific and we cannot say enough good things about the staff (Patrick actually lent me his personal umbrella because of the rain - wow). ONLY minor issue is the fitness center could use a little upgrade. And we had a minor issue with our room not being cleaned until really late and the front desk was really accommodating. And thank you to Roosevelt for giving us the card so we could provide our comments. We will return!

Best hotel ever
Amazing overall experience! We would highly recommend for your Charleston stay!!!! The service was impeccable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room is quintessential south and very comfortable and accommodating. The location can’t be beat, right in the heart of Charleston.

I traveled with my family (husband, and two children ages 2 and 4) on a Luxury Link auction package to Charleston Place in August. True good service is making travel effortless for the visitor, and Charleston Place delivered. There was no problem in bringing our children. We arrived about an hour before official check-in, but our room was ready and keys were given. Concierge had pre-printed directions to many of the sites. Finally, our Luxury Link credits for spa and dinner was automatically applied at check-out, so the check-out sheet that I received the morning of departure already had the correct amount that needed to be charged. Effortless! The Club floor included an expanded continental buffet breakfast, as well as drinks and finger foods throughout most of the day. This was very convenient and the breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres were particularly extensive. What makes Charleston Place stand out from myriad other places to stay in Charleston - many more historic or quaint or intimate - is the amenities offered. The pool with surrounding deck and kiddie pool is a very pleasant spot. The spa treatments were wonderful and very professional. Dinner at Charleston Grill was our favorite meal of the trip. The flavors were complex and fresh - this is not your typical fried and heavy Southern cuisine. I can see Charleston Place appealing to business travelers, couples needing pampering, families with older children, and yes, families with young children. All in all, a service-oriented hotel in a wonderful location with superior amenities and appealing to many different types of travelers.
