The Dewberry, part of the LVX collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, is a posh boutique hotel offering old world charm juxtaposed with a distinctive modern edge. The rooms, sophisticated and ageless, take inspiration from mid-century decor and the low country’s genteel roots. Suites and deluxe rooms are decked out with copper sconces, gold-plated mirrors and floor-to-ceiling windows for extensive city views. The hotel’s French brassiere, Henrietta’s, serves exquisite breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

Everything was amazing, we had the best time during our stay. The staff was incredible, the room was clean & felt like home. Cannot recommend enough if you are visiting Charleston - number one hotel choice! Visit the Citrus Club for hands down the best views in Chs!

We were blown away by the service & wonderful attitude of the entire staff. Our room was amazing, & quite a view of the city. The Living Room had a great atmosphere, was beautifully decorated & had fantastic service. One of the best Old Fashioned drinks that I've ever had & try that homemade popcorn bar snack they have. We decided that it is one of the top places we have ever stayed, when you have the comfort, the service & the location, it is hard to beat. From top to bottom, this is the best staff we have had the pleasure of staying with. Definitely will be back!

A quick detour from King Street and you see the Dewberry peering over Francis Marion Square. The architecture is not the normal Charleston look but somehow it fits in and is peaceful. Walking in feels warm and inviting as you check in and get brought tea and refreshments. The staff is friendly and super helpful with advice for restaurants and the surrounding area. The hotel has cars that will bring you anywhere you want. The rooms are clean and the beds feel like pillows.

I would have reviewed the Dewberry as 5 star during our Thanksgiving stay. The hotel, food and service were spot on. Unfortunately a valet accidentally damaged my car during the last night of our stay. I was given names of Dewberry mgmt to contact which I did but had to go through 2 weeks of back and forth on how they would pay. Meanwhile my sensors no longer work which I depend on while driving. Now after 15 days post accident I am told I will be contacted by GEICO (no policy number, name of insured or anything). If another 15 days pass I will file under collision and let me insurance get reimbursed. I am extremely disappointed about how this was handled so please be aware of valet service and if your car is damaged.

First of all this is a beautiful hotel that’s decorated elegantly for Christmas. I attended a work conference here and ate several meals in the restaurant and bar area. The food was always delicious, cocktails wonderfully curated and on my last morning I had an amazing experience with Elisabeth! Very warm, welcoming & thorough! She made sure I had everything I didn’t know I wanted 😊 nothing was an inconvenience for her, even lugging my luggage to the table & moving my things! I’ve worked in hotels & CC most of my career and I know it’s rare to find staff so wonderful. The rooms and bathrooms are appointed beautifully with marble, chandeliers and wonderfully scented lotion. Very clean, robes, the slippers were so convenient and a nice surprise! a steamer, and more as well to help you during your stay. I’m not a fan of sleeping on the down pillows due to needing neck support but other than that the bed was comfortable. Easy to get to anywhere downtown from here but staying in the hotel your whole visit would be wonderful as well. I will be back.
