Pros: - Excellent location - Prompt service - Close proximity to public parking - Spacious room - Very clean - Great bathroom - Excellent water pressure - Lovely, comfortable 4-poster bed - TV was a good size - warm complementary cookies in the evening Cons: - A bit pricey, especially since there was no breakfast - TV was in an awkward place (on the side of the room, and was a bit obscured by the wall of the bathroom). To watch it, we had to lie in bed with our heads turned all the way to the right - lobby felt cluttered

Room was very nice and clean with plenty of space. We were in the adjacent building that had walled in garden with pond . Peninsula Grill was excellent with great ambiance. Breakfast, dinner and drinks were wonderful. The staff was awesome.

We went to a wedding and stayed at the Planters Inn. The room was very comfortable and roomy. Mike, Cole, Denise, Maxine, Erica, Jim and Ben took great care of us. Mike helped us get settled into our room when we arrived. Cole surprised me with a piece of delicious coconut cake after telling him that the wedding didn't have enough cake for the guests. I loved the hospitality. I can't wait to go back.

Was a great hotel to experience. The historical feel and look was amazing and the staff was wonderful. The location was perfect for walking to shops and to the College of Charleston. We enjoyed the weekend and would go back again and again to stay.

Planter's Inn is our favorite place to stay and, in fact, the only hotel we stay at when visiting Charleston. The hotel and decor throughout exude southern style and elegance, the location is fantastic for walking through the historic area, and the breakfast at Peninsula Grill is always wonderful. As close as you'll get to going back in time and staying as a guest at a historical southern plantation home.

Our visit to the Planters Inn last week was superb, as always. Thanks, Steve Boyd, for taking such good care of us when we arrived so early in the morning. Thanks, too, to everyone at the inn for making us feel at home. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
