My husband and I stayed here for a quick birthday getaway and it absolutely exceeded expectations. From the bell service (shoutout to Cole!) to the front desk, everyone was friendly and accommodating. They ensured that our stay was nothing short of perfect by offering everything from complimentary wine and birthday cake — seriously, don’t skip out on their famous coconut cake — to various room cleanings throughout the day so that fresh towels and linens were never in short supply. I would also note that we were among the youngest guests (late twenties) during our stay as the clientele did seem to be older. That being said, I see no reason why those of all ages looking for a peaceful, relaxing or romantic getaway would not absolutely love this hotel. In fact, we opted to head back to the hotel room instead of hitting the town on my birthday night we enjoyed it so much. There is no question that we will be returning for our future visits to Charleston.

The Planter’s Inn is in a fantastic location and superb staff. Like stepping back in time. Wish I could have stayed longer. A wonderful Charleston hotel in a super walkable, vibrant area with great restaurants and shopping. I will stay again when I visit Charleston and will recommend to friends.

Very comfortable room! Excellent shower pressure. Friendly and helpful staff. The Inn is close to everything, so you can walk and leave your car. The cost to park your car at the Inn is a bit costly. You might find a cheaper parking lot close by.

Excellent location to all attractions, shopping and history that Charleston has to offer. First class hotel service and accommodations, with both fancy and grab and go, casual options for guests. Extremely quiet, comfortable beds and great linens.

Stayed in one of the older rooms overlooking the street; wonderful experience. Dinner that evening and breakfast the following morning day were "solid" as usual. Cannot recall the name of the wait staff for dinner; however, she was professional and a credit to the restaurant. Latrice was the wait staff person that helped us a breakfast; have had several meals in the past enjoying her professional ways.

Our visit to the Planters Inn last week was superb, as always. Thanks, Steve Boyd, for taking such good care of us when we arrived so early in the morning. Thanks, too, to everyone at the inn for making us feel at home. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
